ter ‘at the Dukes last week. Wild-
| ness cost the boys a shutout when
| the Dukes scored single runs in the
| fourth and fifth. innings. .Prynn

| both teams in that department.
For the losers Richards scored the

ber by a 14 to 1 count. Kaschak
pitched four hit ball for the win-
ners and ‘the fours were wild as far
as this young pitcher. was con-
cerned. He had four hits and
scored four times himself in four
official trips to the plate. He was
on the front end of a big four run
first inning and scored’ the fourth
run of the big six run third inning.
His team mate Kostraballa scored
three times and chipped in with a
pair of hits along “with Parry.
Sinicrope was the big thunder for
the losers getting a pair of doubles
and scoring the lone marker.

Stanton weaved a one hitter
against the league leading Harter
nine last week while his team
mates pounded out a six to one
win. Stanton, S. Dorrance and Mil-
ler accounted for all of the winning
runs either by scoring or batting
them in. These three fellows had
two hits each and scored five runs
between them. Kern got the only
hit of the ball game in the top of
the sixth to slam the hall of fame
door shut in the face of young
Stanton. Stanton didn’t permit this '
to bother him and he retired. the
next three hitters with no trouble,

Duke Isaacs last week. The win-
ners scored 19 runs on ten hits in
defeating the losers 19 to 3. Stan-
ton had three hits in the win while
Morris and K. Miller chipped in
with two each. Misson was the big
hitter for the losers getting two for
two on the day. Martin received
the win and Williams the loss.

Harter’s knocked Daddow Isaacs
Legion Post out of the playoffs last
Thursday night by a 3 to 1 score.
Kern struck out 14 batters to post
the win for Harters. The young
hurler got the last eight outs
vig the strikeout route. The win-
ners sewed up the ball game with
four straight hits in the first in-
ning. T. Jones, Dubil, Kern and
Bertram hit singles to account for
the first two runs. In the second,
| Fox reached first via an error and
| scored on T. Jones's second straight

Fedak struck out twelve Harter
hitters but the big first saw him
