James R. Edwards
On European Tour
James Edwards, son of Mr. and
Mrs. James C. Edwards, Druid Hills,
Shavertown has left on a tour of
Europe which will take him and a
fraternity brother through England,
Wales, Switzerland, Sweden, Den-
mark Germany, the Netherlands and
France.
The boys have rented a Volks-
wagon and will follow a tour they
mapped, out themselves. Special em-
phasis will be on sightseeing through
the Scandanavian Countries. In Lon-
don, Edwards plans to spent some |
time with Paul Heslop, son of Mr. |
and Mrs. Charleton Heslop, Shav-
ertown, who is stationed there with
the Air Force.
Jim expects to arrive home by
September 18, in time to return to
Lafayette College where he is a sen-
ior in metallurgical engineering. He
is the president of his fraternity,
[Sigma Chi. Earlier this summer, he
spent six weeks at Fort Belvoir,
Virginia, under the ROTC program.
