West Pittston were “boating” on the
pond at Gilberts’ place Sunday after-
noon. Nancy Havard of West Pitt-
ston and daughter Debbie and Mrs.
Edward Miles were also visitors.

week, while riding a bicycle. She
and another cyclist collided and she
was two days a patient in Nesbitt

week at the 4-H Club Camp at Elk

Chase
Leukemia claimed the life of Dawn
E. Sherwood, Friday night at Nes-
bitt Memorial Hospital. She was
buried Tuesday in (Chapel Lawn
Memorial Park, Dallas. Her parents,
‘Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Sherwood of
Chase, wish to thank all who were
so kind during Dawn's illness, and
who sent cards, and flowers, also
those who loaned, cars, sent flowers
and contributed to the Dawn Memor-
ial Fund at Trucksville Methodist
Church.
Attention is called to the danger-
ous condition at Chase Corners,
where a STOP ‘SIGN is not properly
erected and ‘where high weeds and
trees obscure the view of motorists
coming down the highway from
Lake Silkworth. The shrubbery
should be cleared from both sides
of the road at the corners, or the
STOP SIGN should be changed to
the County Highway on ome side
and to the State Highway on the
other side.
