Miss Heilman is a graduate of
Ford City High School, class of 1956.
She is a member of the Junior
Class of Roberts Wesleyan College,
North Chili, N. Y. where she is
majoring in psychology. Reinig was
graduated from White Haven High
School. He is also a member of the
Junior Class at Roberts where he
is studying for the ministry. Both
Miss Heilman and Mr. Reinig are
attending the summer session at the
College.

Mrs. Richard Rowlands, Trucks-
ville, entertained Past Councilors of
Mt. Vale, D. of A. Lodge, at her
home recently. Present were Mes:

Viola Schassman, Dorothy Perrego,

Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore floor-length gown
of lace and nylon tulle over taffeta,
with long, tapering lace .sleeves,
fitted bodice, Sabrina neckline trim-
med in pearls and iridescent seq-
uins, and bouffant skirt featuring
panels of lace. Her shoulder-length
veil of illusion fell from a crown of
crystals and pearls. She carried a
cascade bouquet of white roses and
daisies trimmed with ivy.
Mrs. William Oney was matron
of honor. She selected pink chiffon
dress over taffeta, fashioned with
shirred bodice, scoop neckline, cap
sleeves and bouffant skirt. She wore
matching chiffon-bow hat with veil,
and white gloves, and carried a
Colonial bouquet of blue daisies with
white rosettes trimmed with ivy.
Joan and Susan Britton, Brink-
town, cousins of the bride, were
bridesmaids. They chose blue dresses
and hats identical to that of the
matron of honor, and carried Colo-
nial bouquets of pink daisies, white
rosettes trimmed with ivy.

brother of the bride.
A reception for 200 guests was
held in the church parlors, where
the bride's mother received guests in
a blue. lace-tiered dress with blue
accessories. The groom’s mother
wore a sand-beige silk organza dress
with light accessories. Both mothers
wore rose corsages.
When the couple left on a wed-
ding trip to New England and Can-
ada, the bride wore a turquoise ny-
lon dress, white accessories, and a
rose corsage.
The bride, who was feted at var-
iety showers by Mrs. William Oney
and members of the Bethel Church,
is a graduate of Falls-Overficld High
School and Scranton-Lackawanna
Business College. She is employed as
a secretary for the Falls-Overfield
School District, Mill City, Pa.
Mr. Hons is a graduate of King-
ston Township High School, Blooms-

of Scranton. He is a member of

Married Thirteen Years
Mr. and Mrs. John Brin, Loyal-
ville, celebrated their thirteenth
wedding anniversary and the twen-
ty-seventh birthday anniversary of
their niece, Rosemary Owen, with
a family party over the weekend
of July 15.
Mrs. Brin is the former Mary
Ogrondy of Gary, Ind. Mr. Brin is
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Brin of
Loyalville. The couple met while
Mrs. Brin was visiting relatives at
Harveys Lake. There are no chil-
dren. Mr. Brin is employed in con-
struciton work in Baltimore, Md.

Holds Annual Picnic
{Annual picnic of Ladies Auxiliary
of Noxen Volunteer Fire Company
was held on Monday, July 17, at
the home of Mrs. Oscar Fish. Due
to the rain it was held inside. A
business meeting was conducted at
this time. Present were Mesdames
Chester Keiper, Oscar Patton, Harry
Wells, Guy Fritz, Richard Traver,
James Traver, James Hellesheimer,
‘Willard Bender, Jack Williams, Ar-
thur Blizzard, Ira Beahm, Leone

Saturday, June 10. Mrs. Eloise Mon-
tross, cousin of the bride was organ-
ist, and soloist was Miss Wilma
Weidner.
Assisting the bride as matron of
honor was her sister, Mrs. Kenneth
Denmon, Noxen.
Ellouise Holmgren, sister of the
bridegroom; Mrs. Robert Bennett and
Mrs. Bernard Dendler of Noxen.
Paul Williams of Haddonfield,
N. J. cousin of the bridegroom, was
best, man. Ushers were John Gun-
ton, brother of the bride; Kenneth
Denmon, her brother-in-law, and
Robert Bennett of Noxen.
The bride, given in marriage by her
father, wore a white bridal gown.
The Chantilly lace bodice was styled
with a sabrina neckline trimmed
with sequins and lace sleeves. The
skirt of pure silk organza over taf-
feta featured a lace peplum form-
ing a bow and chapel train in back.
Her elbow-length veil trimmed with
lace appliques was arranged from. a
Victorian crown of pearls.
Her attire was beautifully com-
plimented by a pearl necklace, a
Mrs. Spencer A. Holmgren, Jr.

Their headpieces, which matched
their gowns, were cabbage roses with

of the bride, wore a lilac dress styled
like those worn by the attendants.

Gunton, nephew of the bride.

of pink roses. Mrs. William Gilmore
of Noxen, grandmother of the bride,
and Mrs. Mary Rowe of Dallas, the
bridegroom’s grandmother, wore
green print dresses with corsages of
pink roses.
Reception followed in the church
parlors, after which the couple left
on a trip to the St. Lawrence Sea-
way and Upper New York iState, for
which the bride chose a beige sheath
with white accessories. They are re-
siding at Noxen, RD 1.
Mrs. Holmgren is an alumna of
Dallas-Franklin-Monroe High School
and Bloomsburg State College. She
is a teacher in Tunkhannock Joint
Schools.
The bridegroom, also a graduate
August 1.
The couple was married August |
1, 1936 in the home of Mrs. Berg-
strasser’s parents, Wilkes Barre,
the late Rev. Joshua Brundle as-
sisted by Rev. Thomas Stacey of-
ficiated. Attendants were Mr. and
Mrs. Richard Lewis of Kingston.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Poad have

Poconoes and two days at Coopers-
town, N. Y., where they visited the
old Farmers Museum and the Base=

daughter, Kathleen Celeste on July
24 in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital. She
weighed 7 lb. and 14 oz. The Lum-
ley’s have another daughter, Mary
Alice, 7. Mrs. Lumley is the former
Alice Austin, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Austin of Shavertown.
