Dallas, redently entertained Mrs.
Alice Strunk of the Physical Ther-
apy Department, Friends’ Hospital,
Philadelphia.
Mr: and Mrs. Roy Swanson,
Church Street, have as guests their
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. George Jamieson and fourteen
month old Todd of Moline, Ill.
Mrs. Gerald Schmitt, the former
Sylvia Trewern and ‘her husband,
were guests last week at the home
of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
liam C. Trewern, 41 Yeager Ave.
Shavertown. They came east from
Chicago to attend the graduation
of Sylvia’s brother, Ronald.
They returned on Sunday to
Chicago where Mr. Schmitt is em-
ployed and where Sylvia will re-
sume teaching in. the fall in the
Park Ridge school system.
Ronald accompanied them to Chi-
cago where he expects to take a
summer course in one of the Chic-
ago Technical Schools. :
[Several friends and neighbors ‘of
Edward Carey made, the trip to the
American Académy of Music in
Philadelphia to witness his gradu-
ation exercises from Jefferson Med-
ical College.
Attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed-
ward Carey, Sr., and son, Robert,
Dr. Adelaide Weston, Mr. Mark
Bush, Mr. and Mrs. George Schwall
and daughter, Mrs. Earl Macarthy,
West Nanticoke.
Mr. and Mrs. Arch Austin, Beau-
mont, spent the week-end in Tor-
onto, Canada.
While Westmoreland Drillers
were performing “in Wellsboro on
Saturday Mr. McCutcheon was in-
troduced to Rev. Albert Greene,
Sayre, Pa., who was appearing
with the 14st regiment of Pennsyl-
vania volunteers of the army of the
Potomac. Rev. Greene asked to be
remembered to his old friend Rev-
erend McClelland.
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Didulis of
R.D. Wyoming, Pennsylvania have
returned home after spending
several days at Ocean City and At-
lantic City, N. J.
Doris Mallin and Jean Agnew,
Dallas, spent several days last
week at Atlantic City.
Mr. and Mrs. Jay Long spent a
few days last week at Rehoboth
Beach, Delaware, and Ocean City,
Maryland.

Marie Wahlgren Yatsko was guest
of honor at a bridal shower given
by Kathy Richards and Marge
Stookey at the latter's home. The

Have Sixth Son
Dr. and Mrs. E. A. Groblewski,
Meadowecrest, Trucksville, an-
nounce the birth of their sixth son,
Robert, at the Nesbitt Memorial
Hospital. June 13 at 4:15 in the
morning, young Robert weighed in
at -seven pounds nine ounces.
The couple has five other sons,
Tony, 11, Mark, 7, Jimmy, 6, Billy,
4, and Peter, 3.
Mrs. Groblewski, is the former
Nancy Kann of Trucksville.
William Gross Lowe
William Gross ‘Lowe, weighing
seven pounds and eight ounces, ar-
rived Sunday morning, the first
boy baby in generations in the Paul
Gross family. The Paul Grosses were
keeping their fingers crossed for a
boy. The Lowe family, with a
history of many boy babies and
very few girls, was praying for a
girl. Mrs. Bruce-Lowe is the former
Lucinda Gross, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Gross, Sutton Road. Mr.

Barrals Have Son
Mr. and Mrs. James Herbert
Barrall, Huntsville-Ceasetown Road,
Dallas, announce the birth of an
8 pound, 5 ounce son, ‘William Her-
bert. The child was born June 1,
at the General Hospital.
The Barralls have two other chil-
dren, Sandra Jean, 2%, and James
Chester, 19 months. Mrs. Barrall

daughter of Mr, and Mrs. William

dens, to Robert Daniel Edwards,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ed-
wards, Carverton took place Satur-
day, June 17, at noon.
Pastor George R. Deisher per-
formed the double ring ceremony
in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church,
Kingston. = A reception was held
immediately following at the Con-
tinental Inn.
Mr. Crocker escorted his daugh-
ter who wore a gown of silk or-
gahza and chantilly lace over net
and taffeta. The basque bodice was
styled with ‘scalloped portrait
neckline and long fitted sleeves
tapered at the wrists and fastened
with lace-covered buttons. Her veil
was of bridal illusion fastened to
a pearl encrusted bow of silk or-
ganza. She carried a bouquet of
white roses and ivy. :
Marilyn J. Hoeg, a close friend,
was maid’ of honor. Mrs. Jeanne
O'Neill, sister of the bride, was
matron of honor and. Sally’ Dawn
Edwards, sister of the groom,
bridesmaid. The bride’s attendents
wore delicate shade of blue silk
organza . over taffeta with daisy
lace appliques on the bodice and
skirt. The dresses were styled with
a scoop neckline and brief sleeves.
They wore matching blue bows of
silk organza with an illusion veil
and each carried a bouquet of mar-

wards are graduates of Westmore-
land High School and Bloomsburg
State College. Mr. Edwards served
in the U. S. Navy and has taught
at Clarks Summit-Abington Join
