Mr. and Mrs. Norman F. Patton,
Overbrook Road, attended the lat-
ter's fortieth reunion at Massachu-
setts Institute of Technology at
Plymouth, Mass over the weekend.
Mrs. Edward Stair, Pioneer Ave-
nue, had as guest this week her
son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Ernest Stair. Ernie was grad-
uated from Union Gollege, Barbour-
ville, Kentucky last week. He will
continue his study at Yale Univer-
sity Theological Seminary.
Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Albert, Pio-
neer Avenue, Dallas, attended com-
mencement exercises and reunions
at Lafayette College over the week-
end Mr. Albert is an alumnus of
Lafayette.
. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Walter and
family will move shortly from
Trucksville to Lynnfield, Mass.
where Mr. Walter will be associated
with the Atlantic Refining Com-
pany.
Robert Besecker, Lake Street, is
gpending some time with his bro-
ther and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Besecker in Florida.

ville,” is- spending two weeks with
her daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
and. Mrs. Bert Fennell, Rochester,

Dallas, will arrive home this week-
end from Pennsylvania School for
the Deaf where she has been a
house director for the school year.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Fossidal and
two year old Gregory, formerly of
Williamsport, have rented the Croth-
amel home on Baldwin Street, Dal-
las. Mrs. Fossidal has been teaching
, in’ Williamsport, will teach/in Dallas
next year. Mr. Fossidal is salesman
for General Foods. The couple orig-
inally came from Wisconsin.
, Mr. and Mrs. James Haines ‘and
family have moved from Lee Park,
Wilkes-Barre, to a home they rented
on Tunkhannock Highway. Mr.
Haines is an insurance adjustor.
Mrs. Anna Gattler, formerly of
New: York City, is renting a home
at 31 ‘Spring Streét, Shavertown. Mr.
‘Gattler is deceased. Mrs. Gattler is
‘caring for an dged friend. Sa

Mrs. H. H. Zeiser returned to her
home on Huntsville Road on Tues-

her daughter, Mrs. Leighton R.
Scott. at Easton. Leighton 3rd
drove her home.
Mr. and Mrs. Harris Haycox have
returned from a trip to Washing- |
ton State where they visited Mrs.
Haycox's father. They flew both
ways. They will spend the next
few weeks at the Irem Temple
Country Club.
Mrs. G. E. Howell has returned

Sally Booker Graduates
From Howard School
Taking part Sunday in com-
mencement exercises at Howard
School for Girls, West Bridgewater,
Mass., was Sally Booker, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher C. Booker,
Jr., 251 Machell Avenue, Dallas.
Miss Booker won honors for the
excellence of her participation in a
project in ancient history. She is
a member of the sophomore class.
The commencement address was
given by Dr. Malcolm Matheson, min-
ister of the Chestnut Street Con-
gregational Church of Worcester,
(Mass.). and a trustee of Howard
School. His subject was, “In Search
of Happiness.”
The diplomas were presented by
Dr. George E. Gardner, president of
the trustees. Dr. Gardner, who was
born in this historic Plymouth
County town, is director of the
Judge Baker Guidance Center,
Boston; professor of psy-
chiatry at Harvard Medical School,
and psychiatrist-in-chief at Chil-
dren’s Hospital, Boston, He is also
editor of the Journal of Orthopsy-
chiatry.
Howard School for Girls, founded
in 1875, now has an enrollment of
about 125, representing 12 states
and two foreign countries. Under
the direction of Mrs. Vida S. Clough
it has attained high standing as a
college preparatory school. It was
announced that all members of the |
graduating class of 31 have been
accepted for colleges of their choice.

A shower Sunday June 4, honored
Phyllis Crocker, the bride elect of
Robert Edwards.
The shower given by Marilyn
Hoeg, Sally Dawn Edwards, and
Jeanne O'Neill, was held at the home
of Miss Edwards.

Mrs. Howard Piatt, Mrs. Jos. Martin,

Saturday in the Holy Trinity Luth-
eran Church, Church Street, King-
ston at 12:00 noon. The couple will
leave immediately after
reception for a month in California.
Linda Anne Rogers
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Rogers,
East Franklin Street, Shavertown,
announce the “birth of their first
child, Linda Anne, on June 5 in
Nesbitt” Hospital. She weighed six
pounds, ten ounces and measured
nineteen inches long. Mrs. Rogers
is the former Arline Kreiner, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dodson of
Fernbrook. Mr. Rogers is son of
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rogers, Har-
veys Lake. Mrs. Rogers was form-
erly associated with Back Mountain
Lumber and Coal Company. Little
Linda is the first grandchild for
Mr. and Mrs. Al Rogers.
Have Turkish Guest
Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Marks, Leh-
man, had as weekend guests their
son, John and Yavuz Ulean of
Golcuk-izmit, Turkey, a. Junior Of-
ficer on the Turkish Submarine SS
331 based at Philadelphia for over-
hauling Yavuz is called “Joe” by
his American friends.
He has been in this country five
months — speaks little English.
John is helping him with his Eng-
lish and he is teaching John some
Turkish phrases.
Geri Lynn Kasenchack
Mr. and Mrs. George Kasenchack,
Chase Manor, announce the birth
of a daughter, Geri Lynn, at Nanti-
coke State Hospital, June 9. Geri
Lynn weighed seven pounds, ten
ounces. This is the third daughter,
the other girls are Karen and Col-
leen. Mrs. Kasenchack is the form-
er Irene Broski, Alden. Mr. Kosen-
chack is supervisor of the Hospital
at the State Correctional. Institu-
tion.. To make things more inter-
esting at the Xasenchack home,
young Karen came down with the
German Measles on Monday, caus-
ing her mother to postpone her
homecoming with their new baby.

ed the engagement of her daugh-
ter, Theresa Marie, to John A.
Headman, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs:
