Jane Kay Newell, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Newell, Noxen,
recently became the bride of Har-
ry Edward Freeman, son of Edward
Freeman and the late Mildred Free-
man of Dallas R. D.
Rev. John Gordon performed the
double ring ceremony in the Gos-
pel Tabernacle at Noxen, Eloise
Montross, Noxen, played the wed-
ding music and Ann Whitesell,
Sweet Valley, was soloist.
Matron of honor was twin sister
of the bride, Jean Fay, and brides-
maids, Eileen Crispell, Wilma Jean
Lyons and Kathryn Hackling, all of
Noxen. Best man was Jack Winters,
Dallas, and ushers, Alvin Cook
Walter Weiss and Edward Miner.
Joey Newell was his sister's ring
bearer.
The bride, given‘in marriage by
her father, wore ballerina length
gown of white chantilly lace over
taffeta styled with boat neckline,
wrist, and full bouffant skirt en-
broidered with sequins and pearls.
Joseph Ellsworths Are
Wed Twenty-Five Years
Mr. and Mrs.
worth, Lehman, will celebrate their
twenty-fifth wedding anniversary
on Sunday June 18, with open
house beginning at 2:30 o'clock.
The couple was married on June
17, 1936, .by Rev. Lynn H. Brown |
in Lehman Methodist Church.
Mrs. Ellsworth is the former
Celia Whitesell, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Oliver Whitesell of Leh- |
man. Mr. Ellsworth is the son of |
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis D. Ellsworth of |
Meshoppen.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth are
active in community affairs and
members of the Lehman Methodist
Church. Mrs. Ellsworth is a Sunday
School teacher there and a mem-
ber of the Friendship Class and
W.S.C.S. society. She is also a
