James M. Garrahan’s first sermon convinced the congregations of the three churches that in their new minister they had what they want- ed, a man young enough to be vitally interested in boys and girls, and old enough to balance youth with maturity. Rev. Garrahan has not yet com- pleted his collegiate work nor his ministerial training, but he is mar- red and has four boys, so he brings sound family background to his new assignment. He is still studying at Wilkes for his academic background, and has already a’ considerable amount of ministerial study at East- ern Seminary near Philadelphia, He | hopes eventuallly to finish at Wes- ley, a college of the American Uni- versity in Washington, D.
