Has Mothers Day Tea
Chi Rho Fellowship, Huntsville
Christian Church, honored mothers
with a tea Sunday afternoon. A
main feature was a one act play
entitled “Mom’s a Grandma now.”
The cast included Robert Walp as
Father, Joanne Hadsall as Mom,
Nebby Garinger as Jack, Marjorie
Evans as Betty, Wendy Allen as
Marie, Ricky Davis as Victor and
James Davis as Grandpa Terwilliger.
Mrs. Gordon Wolverton sang “0,
Blessed Day of Motherhood”, Ricky
Davis played sacred songs on his
electric guitar and the class sang
“Faith of Our Mothers.” Mrs. Walter
Covert was accompanist.

Two-Months Old Baby
Suffocates In Crib |
Pamela J. Kyttle, two-month. of
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garnett
Kyttle, Harveys Lake RD, was
found dead in bed of suffocation
the morning of Mother's Day. The
baby had been fed at 4 a.m. and
at that time was perfectly normal.
Dr. Walter Mokychic of Lake-
Noxen Clinic, was called.
There are six other children,
Garnett Jr., Orville, Carl, Leona,
Arline and Rickie; Maternal grand-
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Orville
Bilby, Shickshinny; paternal grand-
parents Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Kyttle, Benton RD.
Rev. Ocar Saxe officiated at ser-
vices from the Bronson Funeral
Home on Tuesday, and burial was
in Reyburn Cemetery.

Drops Dead As
He Mows Graves
Albert D. Major, 63,
Has Fatal Stroke
Albert D. Major, Shavertown,
suffered a stroke Friday afternoon
while mowing grass on the family
plots at Lehman Cemetery. He was
discovered at 5:30, lying across a
grave. He had mowed the graves
of his parents, the late Champion
and Lydia Garinger Major, and

Kenneth Swan discovered the
body, and Deputy Coroner Richard
Disque, Dr. H. G. Gallagher stated
that death was due of natural
causes.
Services were held Monday after-
noon at the Bronson Funeral Home,
Rev. Robert D. Yost officiating.
Burial was at Memorial Shrine.
Mr, Major, 63, had fished with
a business associate from Wood-
lawn Dairy the night before at
| North Lake, and caught two nice
| trout.
He had been under a doc-
tor’'s care for some time, = Friday
was his day off from working with
the dairy where he had been em-
ployed for forty-three years.
His wife, Hazel Brown, died in
1954 in May.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Ralph
Rogers, Plainfield, -N. J.; three
brothers: Elmer C., Homer B., and
John A all of Lehman.
Pallbearers were Wayne, Warren,
and Darrell Major, Harold Major
Jr., and Victor and Eugene Mec-
Carty.

Evans Falls Methodist Church,

be served for the next several
weeks by young people of Dallas
Methodist Church, who have taken
the 9 a.m. church services as a

Parents, Director MacCuish was edu-
| cated there and in Boston, Mass.
After returning to Nova Scotia, Mr.
MacCuish enrolled at the internat-
ionally famous McGill University,
Montreal, Quebec. After graduation,
he matriculated at Columbia Univ-
ersity for graduate work. Receiving
advanced degrees at Columbia, he
was for some time Counceling ot the
YMCA in New York City.
During World War 2, he saw
active service and upon discharge,
he worked for the Selective Service
Rehabilitation program, then entered
private employment with the Borden
Milk Products Co, in the Personnel
Department. Moving around the
country for six years had its draw-
backs, and when the then President
of Susquehanna University, G. Morris
Smith, invited Director MacCuish,
to affiliate with ithe University he
accepted. Arriving on the Susque-
hanna Campus in 1951, he became
Director of Public Relations, Alumni
Secretary and Dean of Admissione.
