Jackson Township Supervisors have appointed Robert Cooper chief of police, succeeding the late Dennis Bonning, under whom he was assist- ant chief, Mr. Cooper has been a resident for past twenty-four years, serving as assistant chief for seven years. He is a charter member of the Firemen’s Association and was at one time assistant fire chief. He is a member of Back Mountain Fire- men’s Association and has served as treasurer. He has four children, Gary, Grant, JaneAnn and Alan, and two grandchildren. Roland Gensel has been appoint- ed assistant chief of police. Roland is also fire chief. Mrs. Bess Ruch, East Dallas, entertained for David Winter who celebrated his 5th birthday on Mother’s Day. C.S. of the Wyoming confer- ence on Thursday. It was held in First Methodist Church, Wilkes- Barre. Mrs. Elmer Hoover returned home on Monday after spending last week with Rev. and Mrs, David Haines in Emerson, N. J. Lt. Colonel Philip Crispell with Coreen and Tommy, Rahway, N.
