when all choirs of the four charges
sang their own special numbers. The
affair was in honor of Mr. and Mrs.
E. R. Kerlin, Kunkle, who will cele-
brate their 50th Anniversary on
April 22, Mr. Kerlin, a lay leader of
the Kunkle Church, is a patient in
the Flick State Hospital at Cresson,
Pa.

in General Hospital where she is
undergoing tests. ;

this week. Very little pinochle was
played but we enjoyed the baby and

The mystery of the Eastér Candy
and gifts left in the mailbox of
Township Supervisor and Mrs. Wes-
ley Lamoreaux still remains unsolved.
The gifts were wrapped in plain
paper, bore no identification and
evidently were meant for someone
other than the Lamoreauxs who are
anxious to find the rightful owners.
Jackson Township School Board
will meet at the Fire Hall on May 1.
Gary Brown, two year old son of
Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Brown, Chase
Road, fell down a flight of steps on
April 12, receiving a gash on his
head requiring two sutures at the
office of Dr. Crompton.
A family birthday dinner was held
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George
Pavlick, Jr. in honor of George
Pavlick, Sr., whose birthday was on
Wednesday, April 13. The following

Huntsville W. S.C. S. served the
Anniversary Dinner of the Two-Fold
Class Saturday night with thirty-nine
class members present.
Mrs. Vinson Shindel, Johnson City,
Tenn., is spending several weeks
with her daughter and son-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Weaver, Sutton
Road.
Mr. Robert J. Williams of Hunts-
ville, who works in New York State,
spent the weekend with his family.

she visited her new grandchild.
Mrs. Hugh C. McIntyre, St. Peters-
burg, : Florida, is spending three
weeks up north visiting with her two
sisters and Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Wilcox.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Swan, Idetown,
celebrated their 54th wedding anni-
versary Sunday but due to Mrs.
Swan's ill health. no special celebra-
tion was made. Their children, Mrs.
Peter Lincoln, Mrs. Dennis Bonning,
Mrs. Charles Fiske, and Earl, George
Kenneth and Preston called on them.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Williams, Jr.,
returned from their Florida honey-
moon Saturday. They are temporar-
ily residing with Mr. Williams’
parents on (Chase Road.

accompanied by Assistant Football
Coaches, John Zaleskas and Arthur
Nuss, recently attended a Football
Clinic at the Millersville State
College, which was attended by over
275 football coaches from the State.

Lauterber of West Point, Backfield
Coach, Bill Yeoman of Michigan
State, End Coach, Cal. Stoll also of
Michigan State, Defensive Backfield
Coach, Bob Hicks of University of
Detroit, Head Coach, John Flannery
of LaSalle High School, Philadelphia,
the city football champs of Philadel-
phia last year and the runner-up in
previous years, who spoke on the
after the lonely end made famous by
the Army team, and which has
worked successfully for LaSalle High.
Coach Edwards and his Assistants
felt the Clinic was very informative
and helpful and they picked up a
dot of information which they hope
to use to good advantage during the
coming football season. So keep
your eyes on Lake-Lehman High
come next football season.

W.S.C.S. met in the churchouse
on Wednesday at 11 followed by a
luncheon. Mrs. Bruce Williams’ circle
was the hostess. Nineteen members
of the W. S.C. S. were guests of the
Orange W.S.C.S. at its meeting in
the Orange church on Wednesday
night. Present at this afternoon
meeting were Mrs. Bruce Williams,
Mrs. Lula Schultz, Mrs. Pearl Connor,
Mr. and Mrs, Oscar Whitesell, Mrs.
Anne Mathers, Mrs. Leslie Sabo, Mrs.
George May, Bess Cooke, Mrs.

The every members canvas got
under way” when a family dinner
was held in the churchouse Friday
night. Reverend Howard showed a
short picture on the subject of
Methodist Stewardship and its mean-
ing. ;
Robert Wilson talked of the
good work of the committee which
contacted each church member
personally. He expressed his sin-
cere thanks to all who cooperated
and helped in any way to make this
canvas a Success.
Mrs. Elmer Hoover entertained at
a Quilting Bee at her home on
Wednesday. Present were Mrs. Corey
Meade, Mrs. Walter Meade, Walter,
Jr., Mrs. Daniel Brown, Mrs. Vivian
Rinken, Mrs. Frank Mathers, Mrs.
Virgie Montross, Mrs. Floyd Hoover
and the hostess.

death of Mr. Howard Reilly who
was buried on Monday.

General Hospital where he had a
finger amputated to the first joint,
due to it being caught in a trailer
hitch.
Cpl. Harold Blizzard, Fort Meade,
Md., is spending a ten day leave
with his family.
Newly organized men’s class of
St. Luke’s Lutheran Sunday School
held a breakfast in the Parish House
on Sunday morning. It was attended
by fifteen men of the congregation.
