Beaver Season Longer
Than It Was Last Year
Beaver season is lasting longer
than it did last year, from February
11 to March 19, with seven pelts per
trapper allowed instead of five.
Trappers have ten days after the sea-
son closes to tag their skins
and

Carl Stainbrook states that bea-
ver are becoming a prime nuisance,
doing a great deal of damage.
Until the weather moderated, very
little trapping was done, heavy
snows interfering with setting traps.
During the last two weeks, trap-
ping has picked up. Z
A run-down on the number of
pelts taken in the Back Mountain
will ‘be available early in April.
