Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Ziba Smith, Jr. on the birth of a son; Ziba III, born at General Hos- pital March 8. Ziba III weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and measured twenty-one inches. He is the sixth generation of Smiths to live on the Smith Farm, which was purchased by their forefather during the Civil War, from money received from his enlistment in the Union Army and for money paid to him for serving the enlisstment of another man’s son, a custom which prevailed then. The Smiths have three other chil- dren, Crystal Joi, five, Jewel Ann, three and Melody Rose, two. Mrs. Smith is the former Florence Yocha- vitch of Sweet Valley.
