for the Printers. Yankoski 197
(557) and Ciccarelli 214 (552) were
high for Gosart’s as they failed to
bring home a point.
Luigi's and Dallas Esso cut a pair
as Luigi's posted a big middle game
to decide total pins. Eddy led
Luigi’s with 217 (559) followed by
Richards 190 (556); C. Roberts 217
(543) and Rodda 195 (542). For
the “gassers’”’, it was Coolbaugh 202
(569); Montross 223 (562) and
Buynak 220 (554). (Al Bellas had
to settle the coffee bill again.)
Shavertown Lumber and Berti’s
came up with the most exciting
match of the evening when Berti’s
took first game by 9 and then lost
the second by 8. Berti's went into
the last heat leading by 1 stick;
won third game by 2 pins, taking
two games and total pins by 3. For
Berti’s, it was C. Allabaugh 189
(532); Stair 193 (527); B. Alla-
baugh 183 (523) and J. Berti 175
(500). Shavertown came in with
Kamont 200 (556); Kriel 202 (547);
and Berkheiser 195 (547).
Jim-Jon’s/ and Michael's split a
pair as Jim-Jon took first game and
hung on for total pins. Matte 200
(554); Thomas 198 (539); and Trud-
nak 201 (520) were high for the
“tomato’’. boys. Bob Hanson's 594
plus J. Roberts 196 (524) and
Ehret 200 (504) were big guns for
the “diggers.”
Dallas Nursery continued on its
“merry” way in first place as it
took 3 from West Side Novelty with
Charlie Williams leading West
Siders 214 (586); Landis 197 (546);
Panunti 211 (535); Molley 176
(507). For the Nursery, it was Frank
Kardell 198 (573); Nick Stredny
192 (570) and C. Garris 223 (559).
The Nurserymen now have a 12
point bulge in first place.
Yankoski, Krajewski Lead Scoring
Leo Yankoski and Ben Kra-
jewski copped scoring honors
in GEORGE SHUPP league
Monday night. Leo rolled high
three of 598, including a 242
game. Ben had high single of
251 and totaled 591.
St. Therese’s Raiders moved into
top spot with a 4-timer from Dallas
Lions. Tony Plata led Raiders with
211 (547) aided by Rudick 530 and
Barsch 514. Klass, bowling 2 games,
totaled 367 with a 205. Jim Thomas
made the noise for Lions, but to no
avail, with 204; (B77): Gavigan
posted 512.

game, Joe Shalata and Bob Moore

Leo Yankoski’s series was the big
factor as Meade’s and Sportsmen
split 2-2. John Hudak was the
other top roller for Meade’s with
549. Al Gulitus was tops for Grille
team with 201 (573), Bialogowicz
pitching in with 504. ;
Crusaders won 3 from Noxen
VFW. Bob Fallon’s 513 was tops
for Crusaders, while Murphy hit 509
for VFW. Both teams went with
four men,
Raiders led with 19 points, Bert
& Sons 18 and Wreckers 17.
Dallas Dairy Is On Top
An upset occurred in BACK MT.
NEIGHBORHOOD League last week
when Dallas Dairy, Disque, Payne
and Shadyside each took 4 from
their opponents. Dallas Dairy held
on to top position with 23 points;
Disque edged into position by itself
in second with 20; Payne moved up
the line to third with 18; a four-way
tie. now holds Kern, Stonehurst,
Beaumont Inn and Robinson in
fourth place with 16 each; and Dix-
on and Titman dropped to fifth and
sixth; Shadyside switched places
with Merl’s to place next to last.
There were no 600 series
rolled, but hitting very close
were Nick Stredny 213-199-184
(596) for Payne's and Jim
Olenick, 217-207 (592) for
Merle’s. Robinson’s Kennels
came through unexpectedly
with a first game of 1006 pins
against Herm Kern's. Tom
Gauntlett 206; Dan Richards
201; Tom Robinson 210; and
Tom Cross 191 turned in high
games to help make up this
total. Payne Printery rolled
high total pins of 2759 against
Code’s. Jerome Thomas and
Jack Birnstock turned in high’
single games of 223 and 225
respectively.
Carl Roberts 208 (555) and Sid
Fielding 208 (552) led Dallas Dairy
against oon Imperial; Dave Cairns
198 (522) hit for Crown. Disque
featured Nick Buynak 204-200 (583)
and Bill Allabaugh 212 (549) while
G. Bray 181-198 (533) and C. Bray
188 (530) led Beaumont Inn.
Top Man for ‘Payne’s was Nick
Stredny with Frank Muchler hitting
220, while Jerome Thomas rolled

There were no 500 series rolled for
Shadyside, but a high handicap
pulled them through for 4 from Dod-

team a big lift in taking 3

Al had lots of help from his team-
mates, Scheckler 563; Yankoski 509;
and Cross 507. Trucksville had 'Wil-
bur Morgan 542; Dimmick 520 and
Owens 507.
Carl Roberts had a nice series of
580 for Shavertown B., but his team
lost 4 points and was knocked out
of the running by Shavertown A
with Charlie Mannear’s 529 high.
Mount Zion took 3 from Carverton
B with Leon Emmanuel hitting 559
and Tom Metz 574. Jack Berk-
heiser posted a big 596 and Shoe-
maker 526 for Trucksville A, only to
lose 3 to Dallas B with Willard Lozo
in front with 574; Moore 554; Gaunt-
lett 515 and Cairns 507.
St. Paul's took 3 from Lehman.
Dave Zimmerman led scoring with
556 and Wilson hit 511. Lehman
had Guyler 515 and Tough 539.
Trucksville C and Orange split 2-2.
John Wardell hit 559; Cobleigh 511;
Berlew 539 and Baird 503.
Shavertown C tripped East Dallas,
3-1. Shavertown was led by Van-
Blarcom 526 and Edwards 518. Bob
Moore rolled 562 for East Dallas.
Jack Dana had a good night with
587 for Carverton A, taking 3 from
Huntsville Christian; Milt Evans hit
506 for Huntsville.
Dean Weale had a big night
in St. Paul’s Lutheran‘ League

ial Girls when they took 2 points
from Stanton Lanes Saturday.
This leaves our “gals” just 2
points behind the Stanton girls,
and first place. The local team
led with 131 pins after first
game, then lost second by only
9, giving it a 122 pin lead when
they lost third by only 49.
