wedding anniversary on Tuesday.

Elmer Reese, Dallas RD3, is a
patient at Nesbittt Hospital where
he submitted to surgery.

‘Baptized On Sunday
Mr. and Mrs. Donald F. Hinkle,
Meadowcrest, Truckswille, had their

the White Church oft the Hill on

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Green Jr.
Kunkle, announce the birth of a
baby girl, Deborah Ann, weight five
pounds, fifteen oundes, at General
Hospital on January 14. This is
their first child. They have been
married thirteen years.
Mrs. Green is the former Catherine
Grivner of Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Green
is son of Mr. and Mrd. Sam Green Sr.,
Tunkhannock Highway.
Jeffery Mark Gordon
Mr. and Mrs. Carll Gordon, Roush-
ey Street, Shavertown, announce
the birth of a som, Jeffery Mark,
in General Hospital on January 14.
He weighed seven pounds, thirteen
ounces. Thev have another son,
Gregory, aged two.
Mrs. Gordon is the former Lorraine
Gosart, daughter ‘of Mr. and Mrs.
John Gosart of Overbrook Avenue,
Fernbrook. Mr. Gordon is son of Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence Gordon of Sweet
Valley.
Cashmark Back Here
John 8. Cashmark was up from
Bel Air, Maryland, on Saturday to
attend the funeral of his grand-
mother in Kingston. A graduate of
Westmoreland High School and
Drexel Institute, John is an engineer
with Bendix Radio: Division in
Towson, Md. He is still active in the
Boy Scouts and is a local preacher,
as he was here, in the Methodist
Church. He and his wife, the former
Elizabeth Turner of Honesdale, are
expecting their (first child in
February.
Mrs. Frances Keller
Is Hostess To W.S.C.S.
W.S.CS. of Alderson Methodist
Church was entertained at home of
Mrs. Francis Keller, Sterling Farms,
on Thursday evening.
The Society is: planning a
“Christmas In July” which will be
a bazaar and entertainment. Every
member is asked to start making
something now.
“World Day of Prayer” will be
held at Noxen on February 17, with
all four charges participating.
The study class of this week will
be taught by Mrs. Raymond
Garinger, beginning on Tuesday
night February 21st. at 7:30 p.m.

The bride elect is a graduate of
Westmoreland High School. She is
employed by the Commonwealth
Telephone Company. Mr. Forman
was graduate from William MacFar-
land High School, Bordentown, N. J.,
and is employed by the Public Ser-
vice ‘Electric and Gas Company in
Trenton, N. J. }

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Drake, Wood-

supper party recently honoring their
twin sons, Gary and Gale. - The boys
were six. Mrs. Stella Bulford helped
with the serving.

Richard Morgan Britt
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Britt, East
Center Street, Shavertown, an-
nounce the birth of a nine pound,
one ounce baby boy, Richard Morgan
Jr., at Nesbitt Hospital on January
13. ‘They have three little girls,
Doris, four, Deborah, two, and
Donna, eighteen months.
Mrs. Britt is the former Betty
Anstett, daughter of Mrs. Ruth
Anstett of Pike’s Creek. Mr. Britt
is son of ‘Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Britt of. Sweet Valley. Grandma
Anstett took care of the girls while
their mother was in the hospital.
Mothe and baby Dick returned
to their home on Tuesday.
Cares For Miller Boys
Mrs. Ruth Lozier, mother of Mrs.
Alice Miller, Kunkle, is taking care
of the three Miller boys, Jerry, Den-
| nie and Kennie, while their mother
goes to the hospital daily to see
Bobby. Grandma cares for the boys
day and night, gets them off to
school and has their supper ready
when they come home at 4:45.
Bobby is steadily improving.
