AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE
NAMES OF CERTAIN STREETS IN
KINGSTON TOWNSHIP
WHEREAS, there are several in-
stances in Kingston Township where
streets in different parts of the
Township have been, for some time,
designated by the same, or similar
name, and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof
confusion exists with respect thereof
in the minds of residents of the
Township, visitors thereto, and in
the delivery of mail to the persons
living on said streets, and
WHEREAS, it would be for the
best interests of the Township and
the inhabitants thereof to eliminate
such confusion,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT EN-
ACTED AND ORDAINED by the
Board of Supervisors of Kingston
Township and it is hereby enacted
and ordained by authority of the
same as follows:
SECTION 1: That the names of
the streets hereinafter listed be,
and the same hereby changed from
their present designations, as set
forth below, to the designations set
opposite said names, as follows:

The purpose of the Pennsylvania |
Dog Law is to protect the public and |
its property through the proper con- |
trol of dogs and the protection of | |
properly licensed and tagged dogs.
Your 1960 dog license expires on |
January 15, 1961, regardless of when |
you purchased it. The 1961 dog
licenses are now on sale at the
County Treasurer's office or may be’
ordered through any notary public,
justice of the peace, or alderman.
All dogs over six months of age
must be licensed.
Male dog licenses cot $1.10, and
the female dog licenses $2.10.
Spayed female licenses cost $1.10,
if you have a veterinarians certifi-
cate for a spayed female.
License tags must be affixed to
a substantial collar and worn by the

Purchase of an opaque projector
and tape recorder will be the project
this year for the Parent-Teacher
Association. !
This was decided at a meeting of
members on Monday night at Truck-
sville Elementary School.
The projector will be used in class-
rooms to view pages of books, chil-

dren’s work or objects of study. The
group also decided to sell vanilla and
pepper to the members in order to
secure an eighty-cup coffee pot.
Safety Chairman, Robert Kleiner,
announced that measures were being
taken to keep all children seated in
the school buses until the bus comes
to a full stop. Parents are urged to
cooperate in teaching their children
the importance of sitting quietly in
the bus to insure safe driving and an
accident free record.
Mrs. Howard Wiener, Program
Chairman, introduced the speaker,
Robert Jewell, Luzerne County
Speech Therapist, who described the
work he is doing with children who
are encountering speech difficulties.
He said that the ability to com-
municate is of pr ime importance in
our lives.
Mrs. Thomas Vernon, president,
announced the next meeting of PTA
will be held on Monday, February 6,
when Founder's Day will be ob-
served.
