Hospital Auxiliary
Plans Anniversary
Two new members, Mrs. Henry
Moyer and Mrs. Lyman Lull, were
welcomed at the meeting of Nes-
bitt Hospital Auxiliary held at St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church on Friday
when extensive plans for the
fiftieth anniversary of the hospital
were made.
Business consisted of report by
Mrs. Fred Eck that 180 persons are
participating in the bridge mara-
thon; that thirty nine puppets were
distributed in December, bringing
the total to 4,429; announcement
that Frank Wadas will speak on the
“Hard of Hearing Handicapped” at
the February meeting; distribution
of premium books; reading of new
by-laws.
Mrs. W. F. Newberry entertained
with slides of her trip to South
America, Africa, Egypt.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Radona-
vitch, Chase, announce the birth of
a six pound ‘baby boy, Stephen
Robert, at Nesbitt Hospital on
January 9. This is their first child.
Mrs. Radonavitch is the former
Patricia Hilgert, daughter of Mrs.
William Hilgert of Chase. Mr.
Radonavitch is son of Mrs. Jose-
phine Radonavitch of Chase. Mother
and son will return to their home
over the weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Pavlick,

Karen Ann, at General Hospital on

Jackson Township, will celebrate
their fortieth wedding anniversary
on Friday, January 13, with Mr.
Bonning a patient in Nesbitt Hos-
pital submitting to tests.
Mrs. Bonning is the former Mar-
garet Booth of Plymouth. Mr. Bon-
ning came from West Nanticoke.
The couple was married in the!
Evangelical parsonage at West Nan-
ticoke by the late Rev. A. ©. Pal-
hamis and started house keeping
there, later moving to Lehman,
where Mr. Bonning commuted to his
work in the mines. Thirty five
years ago the couple built and
moved into the home they now oc-
cupy in Jackson Township and Mr.
Bonning became associated with
the Spring Brook Water Company,
serving the Nanticoke and Wilkes
Barre ‘areas.
The Bonnings have a taken
a lively ‘interest in affairs of the
community, Mrs. Bonning has
| served as president of the W.S.CS.
| of the Jackson Methodist. Church,
as superintendent of the Sunday
School, and is presently secretary of
the Sunday School. She is also an
