In general, the majority of the girls are new at the sport. There are a very few girls who have had the opportunity to bowl at some time or other but not on an organ- ized basis. The leagues have been underway since the early part of October and Miss Morris has reported signs of steady improvement in both tech- nique and scores. There are eight teams in each league. Each team is, as yet, desig- nated by a number. Plans are to have the members of the various teams choose suitable names for each particular team. A special meeting for this matter will take place in the near future. Trucksville Leads Firemen Trucksville Firemen lead their 8- team Back Mountain Firemen’s points. Tied for second are Jackson and Shavertown with 5 and 4 for 7 points. A 205-game was rolled by Gay- lord in this league. He also won high 3-game with 532.
