Burial was in Bloomingdale Ceme- tery. Pallbearers were nephews: Leon- ard Harvey, Carl Harvey, Arden Harvey, Arlie Harvey, Robert Har- vey, and Victor Cross. Mr. Harvey was born in Bethel, son of the late Cyrus and Ada Meeker Harvey. For fifty-two years he lived at Broadway, where he belonged to the Methodist Church and served as its Sunday School superintendent for a number of years. He was a Huntington Town- ship school director for twelve years, and served several terms as Republican committeeman. He and his wife, the former Suf- frona Long, marked their 55th wed- ding anniversary October 23. He is survived by his widow; six children: Foster and Glen, Harvey- ville; Mrs. Eugene Huffman, Luz- erne; Mrs. Emory Wolfe, Hunlock Creek RD; Mrs. Wesley Burgess, Rahway, N. Killed By Train At Crossing In Arizona Mr. and Mrs. Harry Owens, Harris Hill Road, Trucksville, lost their nephew Thursday morning when a traffic fatality cost the life of David J. Morris, of Temple, Arizona. Mr. Morris‘ car was struck by a train his way to work with the Bell Tele- phone Company. Mr. Morris, a native of Wilkes- the Pacific Coast, had sold his home in Arizona, and was on the verge of leaving with his family when he was killed. Craftsman Of Vanishing Trade Dies At Nicholson Edward Anderson, Nicholson, res- ident of Harveys Lake until 1938, was buried Monday afternoon in Plains. Icy roads slowed the cortege from Nicholson, where nephews act- ed as pallbearers: A. J. Kern, John Kern, Richard Kern, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Kern, Harveys Lake; and John Whipple, Jack Gallagher, and James Lenahan. Mr. Anderson, 59, died Thursday night after a long illness. Crafts- man of an almost vanished trade, that of shoeing horses, Mr. Ander- son found plenty of opportunity to exercise his ability in the area around Nicholson, where many horses have survived the machine age. A native of Alderson, son of the late John and Mary Anderson, he attended Harveys Lake schools and lived at the Lake until opportunities for blacksmithing dwindled. He was a veteran of the First World War. He is survived by his widow, the former Mary Lenahan, Plains; a brother, Joseph, Harveys Lake; and several nices and nephews. TUNKHANNOCK Elnora Taylor Dies After Two Years Of Ill Health Mrs. Elnora Bethia Taylor, Har- veyville, was buried in Bloomingdale Cemetery Wednesday afternoon, fol- lowing services conducted by Rev. Robert Raycroft at the Bronson Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor, 60, in poor health for the past two years, died Monday morning at the home of her broth- er, Floyd Wolfe, Muhlenburg, where she had been attended during her final illness by Mrs. Wolfe. A native of Ross Township, Mrs. Taylor was daughter of the late Harry A. and Rosa Wilkinson Wolfe. She was a member of Harveyville Methodist WSCS and active in church affairs until ill health pre- vented. She taught school for ten years in the area, as a young woman.
