the rest of the winter with her two
daughters, Mrs. Jay Dent and Mrs.
V/arren Boyer of Bloomsburg.
The Lou Ann Dress Factory start-
ed operations Tuesday after about
six week’s idleness.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Moyer and
son, Gregory, drove Mrs. Harry Mil-
ler to her home in Harrisburg after
a two week’s visit with her father,
Dave Edwards.
Mrs. James Patton spent the
weekend at Reading visiting her son,
James Jr. and family and her broth-
er, William Hackling and family.
Mrs. Elmer Weaver is a patient
at General Hospital as a result of
a fall ‘on the ice in her yard.
Mrs. George VanCampen is ill
with the grippe.

returned to his base at Clovis, N.
M., after a furlough with his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jones.
Pfc. Paul Lattimer is home from
Washington, D. IC., for a thirty day
furlough.

Wilbur Crispell at Elmira, N. Y., re-

ed the former's mother, Mrs. Jean
Lattimer at Towanda last week.
Emory Traver, Bristol, Pa., visit-
ed relatives here over the week-

Columbia, Pa., visited Mr. and Mrs.
Chester Keiper and family on Sun-
day.

son, Alan, recently visited Mr. and

after being a patient at Mt. Sinai
Hospital in New York (City.

Mrs. Albert Klimovich, is a patient
at General Hospital.
Mrs. James Traver suffered a
broken forearm in a fall on the ice
near her home. She is a patient at
General Hospital.

after spending the holidays with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hack-
ling.
Ann Lee Engelman and John Han-
son returned on Sunday after a two
week’s visit with the latter’s par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Niles Hansen at
Holland, Mich. Mr. Hansen has been
confined to his home with a heart
attack.
Jimmy Pat Gillis has been con-
fined to his home by illness.

from General Hospital Thursday
after a week’s illness.

Andy Thomas is suffering from an
attack of arthritis.
Girls of the 8th grade, Noxen
School, recently held an ice skating
party at Beaver Run. They were
chaperooned by Miss Burns.

Enjoys Dessert Luncheon
Dallas Methodist WISCS held a
dessert luncheon in the church par-
lors Tuesday afternoon, following an
executive board meeting and a Circle
of Prayer. Mrs. Vern Groff presided,
devotions were led by Mrs. Felix
Weber, program presented by Mrs.
Raymon Hedden. Mrs. Groff stressed
the five goals of the quadrennium.
The next meeting was announced
for February 14 at 11, a combina-
tion business and luncheon session.
Hostesses were Mesdames William
Heapps, Lewis LeGrand, Thomas
Kingston, William Baker, Walter
Brunges and Chris Eipper.

Dr. Aaron Lisses, chairman of Ac-
cident Corner Committee, reports
that the dangerous pool of water at
intersection of Memorial Highway
and Route 115, near Whitesell
Brothers Store, has been drained,
and that Harveys Lake Lions are
now awaiting further action on the
part of the State Highway Depart-
ment to eliminate traffic hazards at
Poultrymen.
