Campaign Seeks
Toys For Tots
Eight Days Remain
To Make Contributions
There are just eight days left in
which residents of the Back Moun-
tain area can say, “Merry Christ-
mas” to less fortunate children:
The area-wide “Toys for Tots”
drive must end December 17th in
order that all toys can be distribu-
ted before Christmas, according to
Irving Bravman, general chairman
of the “Toys for Tots” campaign,
co-sponsored by the Marine Corps
Reserve and Wilkes-Barre Junior
Chamber of Commerce.
Mr.” Bravman said persons wish- |
ing to donate toys could do so by!
buying an extra toy and dropping |
it in the bright red barrels in your
favorite store, or by the city wide
collection this Saturday, December
10th, when the Boy Scouts will
join the Marine Corps Reserves and
Jaycees in a house to house collec-
tion. He pointed out that contribu-
tions should be new toys, or toys in
good condition. The Wyoming Val-
are donating their time for the col-
lecting, sorting, and distributing
repair toys in poor condition.
Toys collected in the Wyoming
Valley “Toys for Tots” campaign
will be distributed by the Salvation |
Army to the underprivileged child-
ren of Wyoming Valley.
