Beauties
7 Tom Landon of Kunkle told
me this week that his young
turkeys are really off to a fly-
ing start.
He said he got ’em from Giles
Wilson on June 1st and start-
ed right in on Purina Turkey
Startena.
“These turkeys are the nicest
we've raised yet,” said Mr. Lan-
don. “They're way ahead of last
i year.”
More On Beauties
Of course its not official, but
rumor has it that quite a few of
the beauties who are taking part
in the Harveys Lake Lions Club
Annual Beauty Contest are
“Purina Fed.”
Carl Schreiner, Jr., a Purina
| feeder and member of the Lions
| ! Club told us that the finals to
be held this Sunday afternoon
will really be worth attending.
Why not stop out and see for
yourself what a fine job of de-
velopment Purina Chows will
do?

Is The Truth
Strange as it may seem, I've
been qugstioned recently by
some unconvinced people as to
the truth of the statements
found in this column.
These little articles aren't
something I've made up myself.
Sure, I put them in final form—
but the feeder gives me the facts
and figures from his own knowl-
edge and records.
I'd have no respect for my-
self, nor would I expect anyone
else to respect these statements
if they weren't “the truth, the
whole truth and nothing but the
truth.”

a letter from Atlantic Refining
Company indicating that there will
be a number of 1,000 and 1,500 gal-
lon trucks for sale in the near fu-
ture.
The building committee composed
of Wesley Moore, Arthur Ehret and
Lewis Ide was asked to have plans
for a 45 by 66 foot addition pre-
pared so that estimates on con-
struction costs can be obtained. It
is hoped that construction of the
addition can be held within $12,000.

Mrs. Madeline Depkin
At General Hospital
Mrs. Madeline Depkin, Beaumont,
is in General Hospital. She suf-
fered a severe hemorrhage Satur-
day, and is in precarious condition.
Mrs. Depkin has been losing ground
steadily since returning from the
hospital in Roxbury, Mass., where
she was a patient for six months
following an unusual operation on
the liver from which she apparently
started to recover before slipping
back into her former grave condi-
tion.

Good health is the foundation
of good living. Without it life
becomes a meaningless burden.
Fortunately, it is not usually dif-
ficult to maintain health. You
need only follow a few common-
sense rules, one of which is to
have your physician examine
you regularly.
And you can rely on us when
you need to have a prescription
filled. :
