her home after being a patient in
the Nesbitt Hospital.
Betty Walters, Ferguson Avenue,
Shavertown, is a patient in the
Mrs. Harry Widall, Shaver Ave-
nue, Shavertown, has returned to
her home after spending several
days visiting in Norristown, Pa.
Nancy Coon, Shavertown, is a
patient in the Nesbitt Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Webster and
children, Diane and Bobbie, Shaver
Avenue, Shavertown, and Mr. and
Mrs. Elwood Swingle and Johnny,
Kathy and Michele, Holcomb’s
Grove, are spending their vacations
at Wildwood, N. J.
Sharon Butler, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Butler, Ridge Street,
Shavertown, is a patient in the
Nesbitt Hospital.
Mrs. Laurajean Owens, Trucks-
ville, is a patient in the Nesbitt
Hospital where she was taken by
the Kingston Township Ambulance
on Saturday.
Eddie Muncy, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Edward Muncy, Terrace Drive,
Shavertown, is ill at his home.
David Greiner, Mt. Airy Road,
after his recent illness.
Mrs. Stahl, Pioneer Avenue,
Shavertown, is a patient in the
Nesbitt Hospital, where she was
taken by the Kingston Township
Ambulance on Tuesday. She suf-
fered a broken hip.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bennett, have
moved from Machell Street, Dallas,
to their recently purchased home
on School Street, Shavertown.
Ryman Reunion
1
The Ryman family reunion will be
held Saturday, August 28 at the
Orange Methodist Church Hall. Din-
ner will be served at noon.
Beaumont
The 1954 Little League season
has come to a close with Beau-
mont’s team finishing in the upper
brackets. As important as the
team’s standing is the interest
shown by the coaches, parents and
friends who gave their time and
financial support to the building of
young men.
The General Hospital patients
this week include Mrs. Ruth Shupp
who suffered a stroke at her home
Monday night and Phillip Frey who
is a surgical patient.
Carl MacDougall enjoyed his
week-end in New York City where
he attended the reunion of the 83rd
Airborne Division of the “Flattop”
Essex on which he served ten years
ago.
‘The Robert Pilgers were in
Philadelphia to see the Phillies play
last Sunday.
Dr. and Mrs. T. J. Keating have
returned to West Chester after a
week’s relaxation with the Wil-
liam Arch Austins. Dr. Keating is
the assistant county superintendent
of schools in charge of special ed-
ucation in Chester County.
The McCauliffs of Cuba, N. Y.,
spent a few days last week with
the Edward MacDougalls who are
now at Bob’s Lake, Canada, with
the Charles Smiths.
Mrs. Albert Van Campen and
children of Rochester, N. Y., are
visiting Mrs. Van Campen’s par-
ents, the Walter Pilgers.
The July 29th issue of the “Re-
publican and New Age” printed
the following notice: ‘Registrars
will be at the Beaumont I.O.O.F.
Hall Tuesday, August 31, 1954, from
7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the purpose of
registering those who may wish to
vote in the November election.
When the list of students who
achieved two years beyond their
grade ‘level was compiled at school,
the name of Sharon Taylor was
unintentionally omitted from the
second grade list. Sorry, Sharon.

Draws Thousands Sunday

Withdraw Application
Harry and Dorothy Smith, trad-
ing as ‘Smith's Economy Store,
Huntsville Road, have withdrawn
their application for a beer license
which was pending before the State
Liquor Control Board. The Smiths
had originally applied for a license
to operate a restaurant in connec-
tion with their retail grocery bus-
iness.
