White, A.A.G.O., organist of the Green Ridge Presbyterian Church of Scranton, will give the second in a series of four organ recitals being- sponsored by the Senior Choir of St. Clement's Epis- copal Church, at St. Clement's Church, Hanover St. Wilkes-Barre, Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Miss White is not only a teacher and composer, but has done con- siderable recital work throughout the East. Recently, she was the featured artist at the Spring Music Festival at Pennsylvania State Col- lege. The organ at St. Clement's has recently been re-designed by Henry Johnson of Luzerne and rebuilt by the S. G. Bullions Company of West Pittston, some of the work being done by the Aeolian-Skinner Company of Boston, Mass. It is in the ‘small organ class” but, be- cause of the excellent voicing of the pipes, and the comprehensive choice of the number of pipe-ranks, it is completely adequate for all schools of organ literature. The recitals are Bolis given to demonstrate the fine results that can be obtained in .a re-built job, at a comparatively low cost. The organ at St. Clement's is not “fin- ished”’—probably never will be, as Mr. Johnson, who is a Vestryman at St. Clement's, will always have an\ interest in making it a more noble instrument. At present, the pedal organ is the most in need of change. The offering received at these recitals, after expenses have been met, will be added to the Organ Fund for future improve- ments. The public is invited to attend afterward, with Mr. Johnson, avail- able, for answering questions.
