Leonard Hungarter, 17, of Kings- ton and his companion, Dorothy Mae Bird, 14, of Edwardsville, were rushed to Nesbitt Hospital by a passing ‘motorist, where they were retained on suspicion of fractured skulls. Harveys Lake police, Chief Edgar Hughes and Walbridge Leinthal, as- sisted Joseph Ide, Lehman chief, in directing traffic. The ambu- lance, called to the scene, was not needed, the patients having already left. Smith, in his mid-twenties, has been involved in several other traf- fic accidents.
