Sweet Valley
The Dallas Post was in error last
week in announcing Albert Allen's
birthday. It was Mr. and Mrs. Al-
len’s eleventh wedding anniversary.

Mr, and Mrs. Raymond Ide, Ros-
lyn, N. Y. spent Wednesday night
with Mrs, Lewis Atwood and daugh-
ter, Mrs. Mae Davenport.
Mr. and Mrs Richard Davenport
trip to New York. They will re-
side ‘on Main Street, Nanticoke.
Miss Grace Croop, Washington,
in ‘Sweet Valley for the Jones-
Davenport wedding, remained for a
few days to visit her cousins, Mrs.
Richard Davenport, Sr. and S. A.
Pollack.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Rood,
Snow Hill, Maryland, are spending
a week with Mr, and Mrs. Carl
Rood.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Long and
family spent the weekend in the
Adirondacks, seeing White Face
Mountain and the North Pole
Miss Marjorie Downing, Broad-
way, and Jay Long, spent a day
last week in Bloomsburg at State
Teachers College,
Sunday visitors at the home of
Mr. and Mrs, Alva (Case were Pearl
McAllister, [Scranton; Mrs. Lily
Case, Mrs. Richard Jones and son,
Clifford; Mr. and Mrs. Elias Tice,
Jacksonviile; Donald Case, [Pearl
River; Mr. and Mrs, Joseph Switras,
and Mrs, George Switras, Broadway.
Mr? and Mrs, William Carey and
son Kenny, (Coudersport, are spend-
ing a few days with Miss Bess Kline-
tolb. .
Ages of elderly women present at
a Sunday dinner given by Mrs. Carl
Rood for Mrs, Hattie Edwards to-
talled 691 years. Mrs. Edwards cele-
brated her eighty-ninth birthday,
Guests included Mrs, Corey Allen,
Mrs. Annie Wintermute, Mrs. Edith
Allen; Mrs. Jennie Thomas, Mrs.
Elsie Wesley, Mrs. Eliza Whitesell,
and Mrs. Elizabeth Smith,
