County to quiet title to certain
lands formerly owned by George
W. Custer, more particularly de-

action and being:
(1) A parcel of land having a
frontage of 125.52 feet on North
Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre,
Pennsylvania by 108 feet in depth
and being known as 274 and 280-
282 N. Washington Street, Wilkes-
Barre, Pennsylvania, more particu-
larly bounded and described in
Deed Book No. 464 page 67 in the
Recorder of Deeds Office for Lu-
zerne County, Pennsylvania, and
(2) A parcel of land having a
frontage on Madison Street of 3
feet and a depth of 108 feet, more
particularly bounded and described
in deed recorded in said office in
Deed Book 464 page 67, and known
as 61% Madison Street, Wilkes-
Barre, Pa.
The said lands were purchased
by the said Herman B. Shepard
July 6, 1950 and April 30, 1951
from the Luzerne County Tax Bu-
reau, Trustee, it having acquired
title to said lands for the non-
payment of taxes.
You are hereby notified to ap-
pear and defend said action on or
before August 17, 1953 at which
time the Court has fixed a hearing
in Court Room No. 4, Court House,
Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, at 10
A. M. (D.S.T.). In default of an
appearance or defense any claim of
title or interest which you may
have in said land will be dis-
charged, and the title of the said
Herman B. Shepard will be adjudi-
cated as indefeasible to any and
all of your claims whatsoever.
