Chain Saw Makes
History At Museum
The power and precision of the
Mall Chain Saw are a feature of
the history-making Hardwoods Ex-
hibit at 'Chicago’s famous Museum
of Science and Industry, says (Charles
H. Long, local Mall Chain Saw
Dealer.
The mew exhibit is now complete
after more than two years of de-
velopment and . work, Occupying
10,000 square feet of floor space,
it is ong of the museum’s largest
and gives prominent position to the
tool which has revolutionized tim-
ber-cutting technique. The chain
saw, producing at a capacity of up
to ten times greater than old hand-
saw methods, has boomed commer-
cial timber operaltions. It has also
meant a new income source for the
farmer who can mow himself alone
—ihandle with ease the old woodlot
back of the morth 40.
The Mal] (Chain Saw was selected
for the exhibit as representative of
the finest in the industry. Consider-
ation was given to 'the fact that
Mall is not only a pioneer builder
of chain saws but one of America’s
leading manufacturers. Thus, Mall
becomes an important part of this
Hardwoods Museum Exhibit, show-
ing samples of hardwoods from all
over the world and demonstrations
of their uses.
‘Charles H, Long says that the
models on view at the museum are
the gasoline operated Mall Chain
Saw, Model 2MG, and the gasoline
operated Mall pinichless Saw, Model
2MGP.
