a x Ps ma Firemen Have Annual Dinner Seventy-Six Enjoy Fifth Jackson Affair ‘Fifth annual dinner of Jackson Fire Department and its Ladies’ Auxiliary was held Tuesday night at the Fire Hall with seventy-six persons attending. The baked ham dinner was pre- pared by WSCS of Huntsville Meth- odist Chureh. Invocation was by Rev. Roy Bean, pastor of Huntsville Method- ist Church. Rita Morris of Wilkes- Barre gave several readings and Bert Fennell of Trucksville enter- tained with stories. The evening came to a close with two motion pictures. Members of the dinner commit- tee were: Margaret Bonning, chair- man, Mary Laskowski and Evelyn Wilcox. In the 103-pound class, Schultz of Lehman pinned McCaffery of Coughlin in six minutes, fifteen sec- onds. In the 112-pound class, Polachek of Coughlin decisioned Shilling of Lehman in twelve points to four. In the 120-pound class, Corley of man seven to two. This was an exhibition bout which did not count in the final scoring. In the 127-pound class, Kern of Lehman pinned Serafin of Coughlin in six minutes, fifteen seconds.
