Little Change
In Fish Rules
The Pennsylvania Fish Commis-
sion has announced the rules, regu-
lations, size, season amd possession,
limits established for the 1953 fish-
ing season.
Except for the following changes,
the same rules and regulations will
prevail upon the inland waters,
Delaware River, Lake Erie and
Pymatuning Lake, subject of course
to any amendments which may be
enacted and become effective by
the presently convened 1953 Legis-
lature.
The season for lake trout has
been changed and effective this
year the season will open on April
15 linstead of July 1 and extend to
and including November 30 in-
stead of September 29 as hereto-
fore,
Al] seasons and limits have been
removed from crappie or calico bass.
By mutual agreement between
the Pennsylvania Fish (Commission
and the Ohio Division of Wildlife
an extra month of fishing for wall-
eyes is provided. This year the
walleye season on Pymatuning will
open on May 30 instead of July 1.
Effective the same date, May 30.

bluegills and other sunfishes, rock
bass, yellow perch, bullheads and
catfish, white bass, suckers and
carp, There are no changes in the
regulations governing largemouth
and smallmouth bass or muskelunge.

not effected and will still open July

formation that these changes on
Pymatuning Lake do mot apply to
any other Pennsylvania walters,
Attend Funeral
Out of town mourners who at-
tended ithe funeral] of Mrs. Stanley
Wroblewsski’s mother on Thursday
were Mrs, John Zolnierowicz, from
Buffalo, grand-daughter of the de-
ceased; [Stanley D., Wroblewski, Jr.
from Baltimore; and Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Matenmus, from Swoyerville.

Mrs. Ralph ‘Anthony has returned
to her home in Trucksville after
spending several weeks with her
sondin-law and daughter, Mr, and
Mrs. Walter Rice of New Jersey.
Mrs. Rice is the former Marion
Anthony. Mr. and Mrs. Rice re-
cently became the proud parents
of a son. The Rices are former
residents of Trucksville and Har-
veys Lake. They have two other
children, Rita and Judy,
Mr. ‘and Mrs, P. M. Malkemes and
daughters, Jeanne and Lois, Trucks-
ville, spent the holidays with Mr.
and Mrs. Malkemes’s sons-in-law
and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. A, B.
Slavis of Troy, N.Y., and Mr, and
Mrs. John M. Sharpe of Philadel-
phia, After the holidays Mr. and
Mrs, Malkemes and daughter, Lois,
left for Florida to remain for the
winter. Jeanne Malkemes, senior at
Wyoming Seminary, will remain
here.
Mr, and Mrs. Robert H. Williams,
Holly Street, Trucksville, plan to
leave on January 19 to take up
their residence at Norwich, Conn.
Mr. Williams will be sales repre-
sentative of a paper company for
Eastern (Connecticut. Mrs. Williams
is the former Elsie Hiltpold of New
York City. :
Chuckie Malkemes,- son of Mr.
and Mrs, Raymond Malkemes of
East Franklin Street, Shavertown,
is a patient in the General Hospital
where he underwent an operation.
Friends of Mr, ‘Charles Stein-
hauer and Mrs, Donald Anderson of
Trucksville wish to extend sympathy
on the recent death of their father,
[Charles M. Steinhauer, who passed
away recently at the Mercy Hos-
pital.
Mr. and Mrs, Willand Garey,
Main (Street, Shavertown, enter-
tained recently at a cocktail party
and buffet supper at their home,
Mrs. Luther Carter, School Street,
Shavertown thas returned to her
home after being a patient in ithe
hospital,
Mark Bush has been released
from the Nesbitt Hospital and is
now staying at the home of his
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Edward Carey, Maple Street,
Shavertown,
Mr. and Mrs. Harry F. Goeringer,
Jr., and son, Harry, 3rd, Franklin
Street, Shavertown are spending
several weeks at Fort Myers, Flor-
ida.
Miss Lila Harrison of Philadelphia
was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Wal-
ter Cook, East (Center Street, Sha-
vertown during the holidays.
Granville |Sowden, Jr., son of Mr.
and Mrs, Granville [Sowden of Sha-
vertown is a patient at the General
Hospital.
Joyce Ann and Billy Belles, child-
ren of Mr. and Mrs. William Belles,
Harris Hill Road, Trucksville, are
ill,
Mr. and Mrs. Percy Hart of Sha-
vertown, spent Christmas with {their
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs, Fred Smith of White Plains,
N.Y.
Mr and Mrs. Jack Morgan of
Washington have returned after
spending the holidays with Mr. and
Mrs. Martin Porter of Shavertown.
