Hold Christmas Party
Lady Toby Rebekah Lodge mem-
bers enjoyed their annual Christ-
mas party in ithe Trucksville Fire
Hall last Wednesday evening.
The program consisted of a vocal
duet by Mathilda Croom and Betty
Shoemaker and group singing of
carols,
Games were played and prizes
won by Dorothy Perrigo, Mathilda
Croom, Pearl Walton and Betty

Joint Schools Purchase
Savings Stamps, Bonds
Dallas Borough-Kingston Town-
ship joint school students have in-
vested $2916.85 in Defense saving
stamps and bonds sinice September
10, with Trucksville elementary
topping the lother three.
The score reads: Truckisville, with
seven rooms, $912.05; iShavertown,
the runner-up, with seven rooms,
$859.25; Dallas Borough, six rooms,
$527.10; Westmoreland, $334.25.
Kindergarten children, two rooms
‘but four classes, bought $284.20.
Purchase of stamps and bonds is
carried out Wednesday of each
week, with an authorized agent
taking orders and filling them at
the Post-office,

held its annual [Christmas party in
the Home Economics room - of the
Lake-Noxen High (School last Mon-
day night,
Artistic decorations, carrying out
the Christmas theme, were used.
Gifts were given to everybody and
games and cards enjoyed.
Special remembrances were given
to George Taylor, Robert Belles and
Mrs. John Byrne, faculty members
of the joint school.

HUDAK GETS ALBINO DOE,
PURE WHITE, NO MARKS

Anthony Hudak, hunting with
hig brother John, and with Fred
Dodson of Fernbrook, shot an
albino doe in the vicinity of
Mountain Springs Tuesday noon.
It weighs approximately nine-
ty pounds, and there is not a
spot or mark on it, just pure
white hair,
Hudak has been hunting all
deer season without success.
He says he is glad he missed
his buck in favor of so unusual
a doe.
“Are you going to use it for
a rug 2” »
“Uh-uh”, says Mrs. Hudak,
“it gets moths in it.”
