Lamoreaux, 42nd street, is feeling very badly about his dead rabbit. It wasn’t just any rabbit that the pack of dogs caught and mangled, it was the last of the rabbits that Mr. Lamoreaux had given his grandson, Earl Lamoreaux, who was crushed by an overturned trick two years ago within a stones throw of Mr. Lamoreaux’ home. For the past three weeks, reports Mr, . Lamoreaux, there have been predatory dogs running wild in the neighborhood. Three times they have broken into his rabbit run- ways. The last time, they tore down a heavy screen door, demolished a pen, and dragged out a (beautiful white New Zealand rabbit, a 22- Summer Band School Enrolls Eighty Enrollment of forty-one summer ‘ band students for the morning ses- gion and ‘thirty-nine for the after- noon, has exceeded expectations at Dallas Borough-Kingston Township Joint Schools. Mr. Lamoreaux thinks the dogs must be very large, as the rabbit warren would ordinarily have been perfectly safe. In the same neighborhood Mrs. Thomas Kreidler lost a kitten, prey to dogs. Mr. Lamoreaux says fthat it is well known that sheep-killing dogs will run for miles, and thinks that this may be a band of outlaws. It would be very easy to determine this, he is sure, if owners of dogs in the neighborhood would keep them confined for a few nights and wait for further results.
