son , Township School District for
the year 1952 to 1953 may be

Act No. 193, June 30, 1951
amends section 680 of the Public
School Code of 1949 - by adding
clause B requiring every resident
or inhabitant of the school district
upon attaining the age or 21 and
every person of 21 years or over
on becoming a resident or inhab-
itant of the school district notify the
assessor of this fact within 12
months thereafter. Failure to com-
ply with this requirement subjects
the individual to a penalty equal
to the tax for which he is liable.

BUDGET NOTICE
The proposed school budgets for
Dallas Borough, Kingston Town-
ship, and for the Dallas Borough-
Kingston Township Joint School
Districts were adopted Monday
evening, June 2, ‘1952. These ten-
tative budgets are for the fiscal
school year beginning the first
Monday in July, 1952.
All three proposed budgets are
available for public inspection at
the administration offices of the
joint school district at Dallas, to
all persons who may interest
themselves.
Final adoption of the budgets
will be made at the regular meet-
ings of the school boards in the
school administration offices at Dal-
las on Monday evening, July 7,
1952.
As required by Act 193, Public
School Code 1951, every resident
or inhabitant of the school district,
upon attaining the age of twenty-
one and every person twenty-one
years of age or over becoming a
resident or inhabitant of the
school district shall notify the lo-
cal assessor of this fact within
twelve months thereafter. Failure
to comply with this requirement
subjects the individual to a penalty
equal to the tax for which he is
liable.

On Friday, WJune 30, General
Benjamin W. Chidlaw, Commanding
General of the Air Defense Com-
mand made a routine inspection of
the 648th AIC & W Squadron, Ben-
ton, The General’s party was met at
the Wilkes-Barre-Scranton Airport
by Major W. ‘A. (Cromartie, Com-
manding Officer of the 648th AC&W
Squadron, (Captain Waller F. Trumbo
and Captain Harry B. Dewar. The
inspecting party spent several hours
at the Air Force installation at
Ricketts Glen State Park before de-
parting at 5:45 p.m. for Mitchel Air
Force Base, New York.

on his flying visit by Brigadier Gen-
eral Russel] J. Minty, Commanding
General of the Eastern Air Defense
Force.

thorized through the proper
officials to designate certain
zones along the highways with-
in said Township wherein no
parking shall be allowed.
2. Said no parking zones shall be
conspicuously marked by proper
signs legally erected indicating
that parking is prohibited.
3. Any person or persons parking
within a zone wherein no park-
ing signs have been duly placed
by Township officials, shall pay
a penalty of not less than two
($2.00) dollars. Which two
($2.00) dollars penalty may be
paid within five (5) days at Po-
lice Headquarters, Daniel C.

eliminating further legal pro-
cess. Failure to pay or remit
said minimum two ($2.00) dol-
