Mrs. Lewis is the former Elizabeth Ridgeway, daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs. Edward Ridgeway of Wyo- ming, Atty. Lewis is son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis of West Pittston. His dad was a merchant. The couple was married by the Rev. James Benninger, an old family friend, in his parsonage at Scranton Md., where Atty. Lewis, though a graduate of Dickinson Law School and already a member of the bar, was principal of the High School. When Mrs. Lewis became home sick, five years after their marriage, the Lewises moved back to West Pittston where Mr. Lewis taught for three years before opening his law office in Pittston in, 1919. Tn 1932 he moved his office to Miners Bank and later to his home in Dallas. The Lewises have two sons, Bob, office manager for L. L. Mr. Lewis who filled in as teacher of the Brace Bible (Class at the death of Prof. Brace and still pinch hits sometimes for Prof. James, explains with a sly wink, that he doesn’t teach [Sun- day School regularly because ‘law- yers are wicked people”. A member of the Bar ‘Association, he is Bor- ough solicitor, solicitor for the Rural Building and Loan and for the First National Bank. Vitally interested in anything Back Mountain, he has searched titles gratis for the Library and has always been gracious about doing law work for community or- ganizations as his contribution. When asked what his hiobbies and interests were, 'Atty. Lewis happily grinned, “My kids! and I'm mighty proud of them.” : y Because of Mrs. Lewis's recent ill- nes, the couple will spend Tuesday quietly with their families and celebrate their anniversary later on.
