versary convention held April 28-
30th at Bedford Springs, Pennsyl-
vania.
In 1950, Mr. Pyne served as a
director of the association and last
year served on its-Board of Direc-
tors. The association serves twio-
thirds of the state with independent
telephone companies serving more
than 450,000 subscribers. The asso-
ciation encompasses 430 exchanges
served by more than 5,000 employ-
ees.
Other association officers elected
included L. F. Shepherd, vice- pre-
sident, who is president of the
Pennsylvania Telephone (Corp., Erie;
Franklin Smith, vice-president; G.
B. Rudy, Jr., treasurer, York, general
manager of the York Telephone &
