Plan Cookie Sale
Girl Scouts and Brownies are
already taking orders for the
cookie sale which starts March 8
and are determined to make this
sale their biggest,
From the 13 cents profit per box
which goes to the Girl Scout
Council, six cents goes into the
troop treasury, seven cents to the
Council for the camping prograrth
and council capital expenditures.
The local Dallas District Girl Scout
Board receives one dollar per troop
from the cookie sale, with which to
finance its operations.
Mrs. Peter Clark has charge of
the sale in the Dallas area, and
Mrs. Oscar Dymond in the Trucks-
ville and Shavertown vicinity.

Cpl. Murray Graduates
From Fort Harrison
Cpl. John H. Murray will gra-
duate today from the Adjutant
General’s School at Fort Benjamin
Harrison, Indiana.
Cpl. Murray was called into ser-
vice with the 967th Field Artillery
Battalion ,taking his basic train-
ing at Fort Sill, Okla. Prior to en-
tering service he was employed by
McCroary Stores Inc., in Wilkes-
Barre and Bethlehem. He is a gra-
duate of the Milton Hershey High
School.
Upon graduation at Fort Benja-
min Harrison he will return to Fort
Sill to rejoin his old outfit.
His wife and son, John Jr., will
return with him, Mrs. Murray is
the former Ruthie Evans of 62 ICar-
verton Road, Trucksville, where
she is staying while he is taking
advanced training.
Fifth Anniversary
Members of Lady Rebekah Lodge
514 will celebrate their 5th anni-
versary Wednesday, February 28
with a dinner at the Spa followed
