had been a resident of Dallas for
the past eleven years, since shortly
before he became connected with
the Murray Corporation, Scranton.
He was a member of Central Meth-
odist Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was
educated at Wyoming Seminary.
His father is assistant cashier at
Miners National Bank, author of
several volumes of poetry, and his
contributions have appeared in
many newspapers.

Passes Away
Funeral Services for Oliver
Reginald Saunders, 51, were held
from the home on Huntsville road,
Wednesday afternoon, January 16,
by Rev. Charles H. Frick, with
burial in Bloomingdale Cemetery.
A tribute to the esteem in which
Mr. Saunders was held by his
friends and neighbors was the
capacity audience at the services,
with all available chairs filled and
people standing everywhere.
Mr. Saunders had been very ill
since July, when he submitted to
a lung operation designed to re-
lieve his suffering.” He! died Sun- |
day afternoon at his home. |
He came to the United States |
from South Wales twenty-seven |
years ago. Many of his relatives
still live in Wales.
He is survived by his widow, |
the former Marjorie Carkhuff of |
Dallas; children, Elaine, Marjorie !
and Thomas, at home; sisters, Mrs. |
