powdery snow over a sub-strata

State police say stay off the roads
unless necessary to ‘travel; use
chains; weight down the rear of
the car to help traction; and drive
Elected Treasurer
Paul L. Winter of Cease Drive,
Shavertown, a junior at Temple
University, Philadelphia, has been
elected treasurer of Omega Chap-
ter of Delta Sigma Pi, an interna-
tional fraternity in commerce and
finance.,
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul M.
Winter of Shavertown, the Temple
student is enrolled in the School of
Business and Public Administration,
where he is majoring in manage-
ment. He has been active in inter-
fraternity sports.
Winter was graduated in June
1944 from Kingston Township High
School, now Westmoreland High.
Meeting Postponed
December meeting of Back Moun-
tain Memorial Library Board on
Tuesday night was postponed be-
cause ‘of the severe storm.
