termoreland, have arrived at
Homestead, Fla. and are residing
at S. E. 2nd St.
Mr. and Mrs. John Yalick and
children and Mrs. Stephen Yalick
of West Dallas arrived at
Homestead, Fla., last week where
they will spend the winter. Mr. Ya-
lick will arrive shortly.
Timothy LaBar has been ill at
his home on Main Street, Dallas,
this week.
Mrs. George Howe, Shaver Ave-
nue, Shavertown, is a patient at
the University Graduate Hospital,
Philadelphia. Rev. Frederick Moock,
of St. Paul's Lutheran
Church, of which Mrs. Howe is a
member, paid her a visit on

Street, is a patient at Nesbitt Hos-
pital where she is under obser-
vation,

Avenue, spent several days last
week in Harrisburg with her daugh-

State College, expects to spend the
Thanksgiving vacation with his par-

Philadelphia will spend the Thanks-
giving vacation with their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Greising and

Mr. and Mrs. Veron Barbot and
Albert Jeffery of Scarsdale, N. Y.,
were weekend guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Peterson, Norton: Ave-

Cpl. and Mrs. Norman Smith
and family who have been spending
the fall months at a camp in
Vermont expect to open their
home at East Woodstock, Conn.,
for Thanksgiving. Mrs. Smith's
mother, Mrs. Ida Lee Oxley .of
Providence, R. I, will be their
guest. The Smiths are former
Huntsville residents.
Mrs. Daniel Shaver, Shaver Ave-
nue, Shavertown, left Tuesday by
motor to visit her family in Florida.

tu birthday party Friday evening
honoring her husband who cele-
brated his birthday anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Warren Sutton,
Trucksville R. D., have announced
the birth of a son in General Hos-
pital Sunday, November 11.
Mrs. Arminda Biery is ill at her
home on Main Street. Mrs. Oscar
Swan of Idetown, a niece, is tak-
ing care of her.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schwartz, and
son of Syracuse, N. Y., spent the
weekend visiting their families in
Shavertown and Fernbrook.
Jack Richardson and sons, Bobby
and Tommy, spent Monday at
Fleetville on a hunting trip.
Mr, and Mrs. Reynold Watkins
who have been staying temporarily
with Mrs. George Budd, Druid
Hills, will leave December 3 to
make their home at Fort Lauder-
dale, Fla.
Harry Trebilcox, student at the
Eastman School of Music, Roches-
ter, will spend the Thanksgiving
recess with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. James Trebilcox of Trucks-
ville,
Mrs. George Budd, Druid Hills,
will leave today to spend several
weeks with her sister-in-law in
Washington, D. C.

Harter home Fridey evening honor-
ing Mrs. James A. Oliver.

with pink candles and chrysanthe-

Richard Phillips who has been
employed in Philadelphia is spend-
ing several weeks in Dallas. He
hopes to finish his new home on
Pinecrest Avenue before he
turns.
David Estus, son of Mr. and Mrs.
David Estus of Huntsville Road,
was a patient at Nesbitt Hospital
this week suffering from an in-
fection.
Mr. and Mrs, Paul Shaver, Hunts-
ville Road, spent the weekend in
Washington, D, C., visiting the lat-
ter’s daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Stephen Monka.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Daily, Spring
Street, Shavertown, had as guests
over the weekend the former’s
daughter ind son-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Wrigley of Arlington,
Va.
Lynn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Sheehan of Huntsville Road, is re-
covering from an appendectomy at
his home.
Mrs. Harry Harris who spent a
few days at her home on Lehman
Avenue last week has returned to
the home of her son and daughter-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Harris,
Kingston.
Staff Sgt. and Mrs. Paul Helfrich
and daughter, Deborah Lois who
have been making their home at
Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi,
Miss., are visiting their parents,
Mr, and Mrs. John Helfrich, Dallas,
and Mr, and Mrs. Paul Daily, Sha-
vertown. Paul expects to report to
Newburgh, N. Y., shortly and Lois
and Debby will remain here until
he is permanently located.
Ted Hinkle, Lincoln Drive, Sha-
vertown, is a patient at Nesbitt
Hospital where he is suffering with
asthma.
Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Ide, Hunts-
ville, and Mr. and Mrs. Asa Day,
Terrace Drive, Dallas, will spend
the Thanksgiving weekend on ia
hunting trip in Georgia.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hedden, Ma-
chell Avenue, will attend the Cor-
nell-Dartmouth football game at
Hanover, N. H., this weekend.
Allen Mosier who has been a pa-
tient at the Contagious Hospital
suffering from polio is somewhat
improved. He is still unable to
swallow, however, and is being
fed intravenously.
Durelle Scott who has been con-
fined to his home on Huntsville
Road for several weeks with arth-
ritis is slowly improving. He has
not yet been able to return to his
office, however.

The fourth wedding since Jan-
uary in the Conklin family was sol-
emnized “Sunday at one o'clock,
when Curtis Conklin, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Kenneth Conklin, Pitt-
ston R. D., was married to Mary
Jacobs, daughter of Mrs, Carl Ja-
cobs of Carverton. Other weddings
were that of Mr, and Mrs, Gerald
Shaver, Carverton, in January, Mr.
and Mrs. Wendel Conklin of Wap-
wallopen in July and Mr. and Mrs.
Glen Conklin of Forty Fort, Sep-
tember 15.
The Curtis Conklins were mar-
ried in the First Welsh Baptist
Church at Plymouth. Attendants
were Miss Ama Jacobs, sister of the
bride, and Clyde Beam, brother-in-
law of the bride. George Jacobs,
brother of the bride, and Walter
Shouldice of Jackson were ushers.

Stefan Hellersperk, retained for
three years during World War 2 in
a Russian concentration camp, will
tell the fascinating story of those
three years at the meeting of Dal-
las Borough PTA Monday evening
starting at 8 p. m. .
Mr. Hellersperk, one time Polish
Attache in Washington, D. C., is
married to the former Meline Ko-
cyan of Wilkes-Barre. The couple
were honeymooning in Europe at
the time of Mr. Hellersperk’s ar-
rest. They now reside at West
Dallas.
Little Jacqueline Harris, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Harris
of Woodlawn drive is a patient at
Nesbitt Hospital where she is under
