Dallas Township Parent Teacher
Association will meet Monday night
when Dr. Catherine Waters will
talk on dental clinics and show
movies. Discussion will follow.
Mrs. Louise Goddard and Mrs.
Willard Seymour, delegates to the
State PTA Convention at Harris-
burg, will give reports. Speakers
at the convention were Dr. Milton
Eisenhower of Penn State College
and Harold Stasses, president of
University of Pennsylvania.
Christmas cards will be sent to
boys from Dallas and Franklin
Townships who are in the service.
Any one having their addresses is
asked to bring them to the meet-
ing.

At the request of Mrs. Grace
Richardson, corresponding secretary
of the Dallas Woman's Club, Con-
gressman Dainel J. Flood contacted
the Honorable Osborne A. Pearson,
Assistant Postmaster General, and
requested. that a commemorative
stamp be issued for Betsy Ross in
1952,
' Congressman Flood has just been
advised that such a stamp will be
issued on January 1, 1952, to com-
memorate the 200th anniversary
of the birth of Betsy Ross. y

ing to incomplete reports, It was
well patronized, not only by the
Back Mountain area and neigh-

tors from Scranton, Nanticoke,
Mountain Top, Plymouth, Kingston
and Wilkes-Barre.
Most items were sold to the bare
boards of the booths. The few re-
maining articles have been care-
fully packed for future sale.
