PETITION FOR CHANGE
Founding Father
Of Church Dies
Frederick Renard
Passes Away At 80
With the death of Frederick H.
Renard, Prince of Peace Church
has lost one of its founding fathers
and staunchest supporters. The
actual building of the church after
such long term planning was to
Mr. Renard a dream come true. It
was fitting that he should be buried
from it on Wednesday afternoon.
Funeral services were conducted
by Rev. William Williams, rector,
and burial was in Forty Fort Ceme-
tery.
Twenty Spanish American War
veterans fired a volley over his
grave,
Mr. Renard, 80, had been in fail-
ing health and recently was hos-
pitalized at the Veteran’s Hospital,
Wilkes-Barre.
He had been an important mem-
ber of the dedication party last
year when the Prince of Peace
Church, a former mission of Grace
Episcopal in Kingston, was dedica-
ted as a church in its own right.
Church services in the early days
of the mission were often held in
Mr. Renard’s own home. For many
years he led the choir at Grace
Episcopal, and was well known for
his excellent voice and sound mus-
ical background.
Born in Plymouth, son of the late
James and Mary Pickett Renard,
he lived in Wilkes-Barre and Kings-
ton before moving to Dallas twenty-
five years ago. He was employed
as a cabinet maker at Steinhauer
Brothers before retiring eleven
years ago.
He is survived by his second
wife, Mrs. Isabelle Murray Renard;
a sister, Mrs. Chester Ferguson,
Wilkes-Barre; “ a brother, Walter,
Wilkes-Barre; and several nieces
and nephews.
Bearers were Donald Clark, Char-
les W. Lee, Clarence Woodruff,
Ralph Davis, Alfred James, Paul
Goddard, and Calvin Hall.

To Be Held On Sunday
OF NAMES
Notice is hereby given that on
October 15, 1951, the petition of
Stanley J. Krawchek and Margaret
Krawchek, his wife, was filed in the |
above named Court praying for al
decree to change their names to
Stanley J. Brooks and Margaret
Brooks, respectively.
The Court has fixed December
20, 1951, at the Court House,
Wilkes-Barre, as the time and place
for the hearing of said petition
when and where all persons inter-
ested may appear and show cause,
if any they have, why the prayer
of said petition should not be
granted. Th
