Allen Secretary Racing Bffords Thrills At Fair Bloomsburg Has Sixteen Harness Events Listed Sixteen racing events are sched- uled for the five day race meet at the Bloomsburg Fair, which opens on Monday afternoon, September 24th and closes on Friday after- noon. Among these events are four stake races, the two-year-old trot and pace and the three-year- old trot and pace divisions of Bloomsburg Fair Stakes. The re- maining twelve events all pay a purse of $1,000.00 edch and will be raced two dashes at one mile. On Monday afternoon the open- ing race is the 2:12 Pace, which always draws a field of outstanding pacers. This is followed by the 2:14 Trot and the 2:27 Pace. On Tuesday afternoon the racing program opens with the 2:24 Trot to be followed by the two-year-old pacing division of Bloomsburg Fair Stake No. 6, where the best two- year-old pacers of the country will vie with each other for an estima- ted purse of $13,000.00.
