Ross drove up for her on Wednes-
day.
Mr. and Mrs. John Eck of
Shavertown had as weekend guests
their daughter and son-in-law, At-
torney and Mrs. Katen and sons,
John and Skipper of Washington,
D. C. They came to attend the
Library Auction. John is spending
a week with his aunt and uncle,
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eck of Shaver-

Harry Tennyson, former Dallas
principal, has been named superin-
tendent of Lehighton Public
Schools.
Miss Frances Dorrance entertain-
ed over the weekend Mrs. Howard
Taylor of Germantown and Mrs.

tion.

over the weekend and helped at
the plant and vegetable booth. Her
son, Robert who attended the Auc-
tion last year saved eighteen dol-
lars to spend at it this year.
Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson of
Huntsville entertained Mr, and Mrs.
Lester Ichter of West Nanticoke,
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Tremayne of
Chase and their niece Susan Reese
of Baltimore over the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Scott of Mt.
Greenwood road entertained over
the weekend Mr. and Mrs. Lee
Tracy of New York City. The
Scotts left the early part of the
week for California where they
will visit their daughter and family.

Eggleston of Vernon have returned
from Heart Lake Children’s Bible
Camp at’ Jermyn, Pa., where they
spent a week.
Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Nulton and
Mrs. Lewis Nulton of Kunkle will
leave next week by motor for Okla-
homa and Colorado where they will
visit friends.
Skippy Shaver Is Four
Skippy Shaver, son of Mr. and
Mrs. George Shaver, Jr., Fernbrook,
had a grand time at his fourth
birthday party Saturday afternoon,
with five-month-old Tommy taking
in the excitement from his high-
chair, and many out of town guests
present.
Table. decorations were carried
out in yellow; with a huge birth-
day cake as a centerpiece. Small
guests played games.

Meets At Nulton Home
The annual reunion of the Char-
les F. Wrislar family was held Sun-
day at the home of the late Charles
Wrislar’s daughter, Mrs, Leslie Nul-
ton, Kunkle. The family has been
reunioning for about ten years.
Mrs. Wrislar, now eighty seven,
makes her home with Mrs. Nulton.

June Bride of James LaBar
At a very pretty wedding, Miss
Jane Harrison, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas Harrison of West Bar-
rington, R. I, became the bride
of James LaBar, son of Mr, and
Mrs. Timothy LaBar of Main street,
Dallas, Friday afternoon, July 3 at
3 P. M. Rev. Joseph Sproule per-
formed the double ring ceremony
in Dallas Free Methodist Church
before an altar artistically decor-
ated with baskets of white hy-
drangeas, pink roses and delphin-
ium and wood ferns. Trip candel-
abra were effectively arranged.
Francis Hathaway played the
wedding music.
Attendants were Mr. and Mrs.
Donald LaBar, brother and sister-
in-law of the bridegroom.
The bride, given in marriage by
her brother, William Harrison of
Paramus, N. J., wore street length
dress of aqua lace with white ac-
cessories. Her shoulder bouquet
was of white roses. Mrs. LaBar
chose dusty rose lace with white
accessories and pink roses.
Mrs. Harrison and Mrs. LaBar,
mothers of the couple, chose print
dresses.
Following the ceremony, the
couple left for Canada. En route
home they will visit the bride’s par-
ents in Rhode Island.
Mrs. LaBar is a graduate of West
Barrington High School and is em-
ployed at Natona Mills. Mr. La-
Bar is a graduate of Dallas Borough
High School. He is employed by
Royer Foundry and Machine Com-
pany, , Kingston.
The couple will reside with the
bridegroom’s parents temporarily.

met at Norris Glen for a picnic

ert presiding. Invocation was given

Is At Camp Pine
James B. Hpston, Jr., son of Mr.
and Mrs. James B. Huston, Har-
veys Lake, is doing a two-week
hitch of duty as assistant supply
officer at Camp Pine, N. Y.
In the reserves since discharge
from the army in 1948, Jim has
been recently elevated to second
lieutenant. He served as sergeant
of supply for two years in Japan,
1946-1948, after graduation from
Seminary.
He expects to summer with his
family at Harveys Lake, then re-
turn in September for his senior
year at Brown University.
Lehman Flower Show
Friendship Class, Lehman Metho-
dist Church, will hold its fifth an-
nual flower show August 18 in the
Fire Hall. Committees and chair-
men will be announced later,
