of Pennsylvania Hospital and is

Hospital.
Mrs. W. B. Risley has returned
to her home on Lehman avenue
after spending several weeks with
her daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence Boston of
Nicholson. ;
Mr. and Mrs. J. Archbald Brooks
entertained a number of friends at
their home at West Dallas on Sun-
day.
Bud Mathers, Trucksville, is
spending a two week furlough with
his family. He expects to leave for
France June 13.
Miss Mary Reedy and ‘Miss Eli-
zabeth Setse of Atlanta, Ga., will
arrive Sunday to spend their va-
cations with the former's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. John Reedy of Center
Hill Road. During July and August
they expect’ to serve with the
Waves near the Great Lakes.
Bruce Crispell and Willard Cris-
pell of Outlet recently visited the

who is a patient in Memorial Hos-
pital, Johnson City, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Burton Wilcox, Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Barrick and son,
Dale of Carlisle were among the
many visitors who enjoyed the tu-

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Brandon,
Lehman, are spending some time
with Mr. and Mrs, Warren Boston,
Pike's Creek, while Mr. Brandon
recovers from a recent heart
attack.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles James of
Jackson street drove to Ithaca, N.Y.,
yesterday to bring William Morgan
home for the funeral of his grand-
father, William Henry Morgan.
Over last weekend Mr. James at-
tended his twenty-fifth reunion at
Mansfield State Teachers’ College.
George Houck, Spring street, is
a patient at General Hospital where
he will submit to an operation.
Miss Ida Eyer is staying with Mr.
and Mrs. Murray Scureman.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peterson
and son, Joe of Norton avenue
spent the weekend at Scarsdale,
N. Y., visiting Mrs. Peterson’s sister
and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Vernon Barbot and at Providence,
R. I, with Ann. Ann returned ||
with them for her summer vaca-
tion.

their farm for the summer months

On Wedding Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Wilford H. Par-
sons, East Main Street, Trucks-
ville, celebrated their fortieth wed-
ding anniversary May 18 with a
family diner at the home of their
daughter and son-in-law, Mr, and
Mrs. William Walsh of Kingston.
The Parsons were married by the
late Rev. Hall Griffith in St. Pe-
ter’s Episcopal Church, Plymouth.
The party table was attractive
with centerpiece of mixed spring
flowers, Entertainment was fur-
nished by Billy Walsh and his
trumpet who played “The Anni-
versary Waltz”.
The couple received a set of
rings from the children.
Present were: Mr. and Mrs. Ro-
bert Prideaux and son, Lance of
Bound Brook, Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
liam H. Parsons of Trucksville,
Billy Walsh, the guests of honor
and the host and hostess.
Entertains At Shower
Mrs. Alva Eggleston of Vernon
entertained at a stork shower ho-
noring Mrs. Sherman Harter of
Trucksville recently. Present were:

Miss Lois Ann Warriner To Wed
Robert L. Morgan On June 16
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Warriner have
issued invitations for the marriage
of their daughter, Lois Ann, to Ro-
bert L. Morgan, son of Mrs.
Llewellyn J. Morgan 'of Shaver-
town and the late Llewellyn J.
Morgan.
The wedding will take place Sat-
urday, June 16 at 2 P. M. in Dallas
Methodist Church. Rev. Frederick
W. Reinfurt will perform the
double ring ceremony.
Maid of honor will be Miss Beryl
Colwell and bridesmaids, Miss Be-
verly Morgan, sister of the bride-
groom, and Mrs. Donald Naylor.
Little Carolyn Evans will be flower
girl,
William Morgan, brother of the
bridegroom, will act as best man
and William Prater, Paul Fahringer
and Donald Naylor, as ushers.
Following the ceremony, a recep-
tion for about a hundred fifty
guests will be held at Brokenshire’s
Harveys Lake Hotel.
Miss Warriner is a graduate of
Wyoming Seminary and attended
Dickinson College for two years.
She is employed by Casualty and
Fidelity Insurance Company,
Wilkes-Barre.
Mr. Morgan is a graduate of
Kingston Township High School
and served with the U. S. Army in
Germany. He attended North Caro-
lina State College and is now a
student at Philadelphia Textile In-
stitute in Germantown, where he is
studying textile ,engineering. He is
a member of Phi Psi Fraternity.
A number of parties have been
planned honoring Miss Warriner;
Miss Norene Lamb entertained at a
variety shower at her home in Leh-
man last Thursday night. Tonight
Mrs. Ray Evans will hold a towel
shower and Tuesday, Mary Weir a
kitchen shower. Beryl Colwell and
Mrs. Don Naylor, will entertain at
a luncheon at the Country Club
June 13.

At Farewell Party
A farewell birthday party was
recently given by Miss Nancy
Cragle of Loyalville honoring Miss
Charlotte Marie Wilcox who cele-
brated her fifteenth birthday anni-
versary and who will be leaving
at the end of the school term to
join her parents in Carlisle. The
Wilcoxes recently moved to Car-
lisle where Mr, Wilcox is employed
at the Mechanicburg Naval Supply
Depot. Charlotte received a lovely
gift from the Freshman Class.
