Those who have seen the printed prospectus of the Authority say that it is so full of errors and om- missions of fact that it has pro- bably been withheld from the Board in spite of repeated requests for some information on the pro- | ject. The Board also withdrew its ob- jections to the findings of the State Tax Equalization Board after learning the decision of the Su- preme Court in the Newport Town- ship Case. .If the Board had not withdrawn its objection, the State reimbursement for teachers’ sal- aries would have been withheld for an indefinite period. In the absence of R. D. Currie, Board president, James Hutchison presided, The Board also adopted Daylight saving time to start, Monday, April 30, and announced that Miss Clara Cockerille, associate Superintendent of Altoona Schools will be the Commencement Speaker on June 5. Rev. R. W. Edmondson will give the Baccalaureate address on Sunday June 3. Miss Cockerille is study- ing for her doctor’s degree at Penn- sylvania State College.
