This is their first grandson. Mr. and Mrs. William Cole of Newark, N. J., announce the birth of a baby boy, their first child. Mrs. Cole is the former Doris Cragle. A “welcome to our town” party was held at the Christian Church Hall Friday evening for the Perrys, the McNeals and the Shadles. Rev. and Mrs. Roland Updyke called on local friends on Monday and attended the funeral of Mrs. Elmer Wolfe. Miss Bess Klinetob attended the funeral of Mrs. Mamie Gay on Friday. The Jolly Twelve Club held their Christmas Party at the home of Mrs. John Paul last Wednesday. Beaumont The first game of the Susque- hanna-Wyoming Basketball League gave us a lead start when the boys took Meshoppen here by a 53-23 score. The Meshoppen girls topped us 19-9. This week Falls- Overfield comes here tonight. Come out to see boys’ and girls’ teams plus the cheerleaders - as they do a grand job.
