0dd Fellows Plan Party
“ For Sunbury Home Orphans
Among the 150 children who are
cared for by the Odd Fellows Or-
phanage at Sunbury are three in-
fants. The other children range in
age to eighteen.
On Saturday night, Odd Fellows
Lodges of the Back Mountain re-
gion will receive gifts for these
under it, Later these will be trans-
ported to Sunbury by members of
the Lodge.
Persons who are moved to give a
donation or gifts of clothing, toys
or confections for the children are
asked to contact any Odd Fellow
who will be glad to see that the
gifts are picked up and taken to
children at a Christmas Party to
be held at Toby's Creek Lodge, in | Sunbury.
Trucksville. Members of Rebek- - «
ah Lodges in the area have also Main Street Lights Up
been invited to attend. Christmas lights illuminated
Main Street for the first time this
holiday season on Monday night.
There will be a large Christmas
Tree and all gifts will be placed

Home From Bavaria
Mrs. Jacob Anderes, Center Hill
Road, has returned from a three
month trip to her girlhood home
'n Upper Bavaria. Her boat from
Hamburg docked last Wednesday.
On her voyage over, in August,
she landed in France and took in
Paris on her way to Bavaria.
She had the rare experience of
seeing the Passion Play at Ober-
ammergau in September. Some
of her relatives live close at hand.
This is the first time she has
been away from the United States
since she landed here twenty-one
years ago. Mrs, Anderes says that
landing in New York this time was
