Ed Ryman Reunion Held At Binghamton Park The Ryman Reunion at Ross Park, Binghamton got off to a good start with devotions by George Ry- man of Binghamton. “Happy Birth- day” was then sung to two of the clan, Mrs. Abram Ryman of Wy- oming, who celebrated her seventy- third birthday that day, and Wil- son Ryman of East Dallas who rather cheerily hailed his fiftieth President William Arch Austin called the business meeting to order and appointed Mrs. Ralph Fink of Wyoming, Mrs. Arthur Webb of Carverton, Mrs. Adabelle Prior of Union, N.Y., Mrs. Paul Valentine of Mehoopany, and Mrs. Asa Ry- man of Overton as his committee of historians to compile data rela- tive to the interest of the Rymans. Mrs, Abram Ryman received the gift as the oldest member present. Mrs. Esther Ryman Boucounis was the youngest mother present. Mrs. Katie Reeves of Leaksville, N. Carolina came the farthest dis- tance, and the Wilson Rymans had the largest family present, (3 child- ren, Lois, Inez, and Lloyd.) Births reported were Kathy Mae Tompkins, Cheryl Ann Tompkins, Bobby Tompkins, Barbara Tomp- kins, (whose grandmothers are Molly and Althea Ryman), Carol Ann Newberry, grandchild of Ada- belle Ryman Prior, and Scott Ry- man, grandson of Lawrence Ry- man of San Francisco. The death registered was that of Mrs. Edith Ryman Turpin’ of Wash- ington, D.C. Officers elected for’ the coming year are: president, William Arch Austin; vice president, Mrs. Paul Valentine; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. William Arch Austin. It was voted to hold the 1951 reunion at Traver's Park, Bowman's Creek Road, the first Saturday of August. Following the business meeting games and prizes were the high- lights for the children.
