THE
Workers Report
Fine Response
(Continued from Page One)
advance of the regular meeting at
8, presided over by Howard Ris-
ley, general chairman.
Indications point to heightened
community interest in the annual
auction, and a willingness on the
part of Back Mountain residents to
offer not only goods, but services.
Mrs. Schmerer states that solicitors
have been received everywhere
with enthusiasm and cooperation.
First general truck pick-up is
scheduled for today and tomorrow,
directed by. L. L. Richardson.
Larger tents are being provided
by the Grounds Committee, chair-
man Charles James. This year there
will be colorful decorations.
Posters advertising the auction
are being made and placed in out-
lying towns and Wyoming Valley
area by Mrs. John Girvan, Miss
Mary Gates and Mrs. King.
Baked goods, according to Mrs.
Edgar Brace, chairman, will be in
good supply, including home-baked
bread, rolls, pies, cakes, and cook-
ies. The response in this depart-
ment has been much larger than last
year.
Candy, under direction of Mrs.
Ralph Dixon, will be available in
quantity, but the demand is un-
limited and much more home-made
candy than has been promised can

tive pots of ivy get in touch with
her.
Durelle Scott, Jr., once more in
charge of solicitation of new mer-
chandise, will meet with his com-
mittee Monday night at the Dallas
Post.
Mrs. H. W. Peterson, in charge of
odds and ends, will draw her mer-
chandise from stocks received from
general solicitation.
As many things were left over
