Examinations For
Substitute Clerk
An examination for Substitute
Clerk for duty at Harveys Lake
Post Office has been announced.
Substitute Clerks start at $1.06%
per hour which may be increased
5 cents an hour each year until
the maximum of $1.31% is reached.
Applicants must actually reside
within the delivery of the Post
Office or be bona fide patrons of
such office. Persons now employed
in the Post Office will be considered
bona fide patrons
No experience requirements are
needed. All applicants will be re-
quired to take a written examina-
tion.
Applicants must hive ached
their eighteenth but must not have
passed their fiftieth birthday on
the closing date for receipt of ap-
plications; and must be citizens.
The age limits, height and weight
requirements will be ‘waived for
veteran preference applicants.
Applications for this examination
must be on file with the Director,
Third U.S. Civil Service Region,
Room 103-A Customhouse, Phila-
delphia 6, Pennsylvania, not later
than the close of business January
9, 1950.

further information and the neces-
sary application form from the
Postmaster, Roy H. Tyson, located
at Harveys Lake Postoffice, or from

Dallas Township Pupils
To Give Xmas Program
Students of Dallas Township
Schools, in cooperation with the
Parent Teacher Association, will
present a musical program in the
High School auditorium tonight,
Friday, at 8 o'clock. Director is Al-
fred Mililner-Camp.
First and second parts of the pro-
gram consist of a series of Christ-
mas songs. ‘Hark, The Herald An-
gels Sing”, Angels From the Realms
of Glory”, “Away in a Manger”,
and ‘Deck The Halls With Boughs
of Holly”, will be sung by students
of 5th and 6th grades; “Lullaby of
the Bells”, “Toyland”, “The Dance
of Sugar Plums”, and “Mother
Goose on Parade” will be presented
by the Girls Chorus.
The third part of the program
will be an Operetta, “She Didn't
Believe” "given by pupils from
grades one to four, accompanied by
Julia Updyke and Lois Ward.
